This is fantastic! And what's fun to know is that before the Beatles came
around - the only time you got to see/hear electric guitar on TV was Neil
LeVang & Buddy Merrill on the Welk Show . They certainly inspired me
and I couldn't wait to see them play each week and check out what kind
of guitars and amps they were using!

It's interesting that Buddy's attack makes it sound as if he's running a little compression,which I'm guessing was long before guitar effects and floor pedals etc. were available for live use.
