Go to a 30 Seconds To Mars show....Jared rarely sings his chorus' to save his voice. He tries and gets the crowd to sing them for him. If he sand every chorus of every tune he would pass out.....and blow a vocal chord....seriously.

When I go to watch a Smashing Pumpkins show, I expect improvisations and surprises. The whole point of watching a live act is just that. I don't want them to sound the same as the album. What's the point of seeing them live then if they don't improvise?

The whole Machina sound was very dark and eerie, so it's no surprise to see this and Zero being re-worked during the tour (they were played in C, opposed to that of half a step down).

Anyway, I loved the Machina tours.

The last time I saw the Pumpkins live was at their final european tour of 2001; I was at their very last show at the wembley arena. & they started with "Everlasting Gaze", which was just a wall of noise, it was really bad! To tell You the truth they're a bit hit & miss when they play live; Sometimes they're awesome, sometimes they're really bad. But, when it comes to being in the studio, I think they're the best in the world, and second to no one. Adore & Meloncholy are just awesome albums!

I think they're good musos, I just think the atmosphere within the band was very volatile. I just don't think they practiced enough. & sometimes if you hear them live on the radio, a good gig & a bad gig will always depend on Billy's vocals; 'Cause sometimes he sings really flat.
