@brynmag timelapse is typically recorded by using stills put together into a video. It's important to make sure your intervals are close enough or consider 'dragging' your shutter. Google 'timescapes FAQ' I wrote that. =)
@milapse Ok Stupid question. I just watched your clip again and it is obvious. I worked out my edit issue anyway. It was fine after rendering. Thanks anyway.
Love the idea of a reversible panning unit, since it would be great to pan different ways for different shots. Hove you thought about a unit you could use away from a mains supply?
man, I need a device like this... It would be kinda tricky, though since I'm using Canon 20D, which means it has to be connected to a computer - with a cable.
start poking for a telescope head with a clock drive... this little guy works fine with my small cams but I'm using a cg-3 with an RA motor for my D200.
If you are using a 20D or any other Canon EOS, you should buy a Intervalometer like the Canon TC 80N3. I just discovered them. They are around $100, seems worth it.
@joeo18 or you can get one from ebay for $20 or so, they look the same with same functions/parameters, I bet the components inside are pretty much from the same manufacture, I had mine for over a year and never let me down.
LOL that's an interesting question indeed! I'm lucky to have someone who gets equally as obsessed with her own creative pursuits... but... "are you going to stop playing with your toys and clean the house" has come up a few times... ;-)
Thanks for the tips! That is very ingenious of you. Good luck with your timelapse footage. Be sure to add it to the timelapse group when you are done.
Can you tell me are your doing timelapse photos here or is it video sped up? I tried this but is looked a bit jerky in edit.

rub a bit of baby oil on the o-rng to prevent a jagged timelapse.
