  • Sounds like your mom's headboard when I'm in bed with her.

  • @attackthestatic BBBAHAHAHAHAH!!!

  • no, bad tie rod ball joint

  • my 2005 chrysler has 200,000 km..and the engine is still running like new...only ssue is tie rod end and sway bar replacement twice in 6 years...synthetic oil cured the stalling problem/engine light at 100,000 km...This car has been very reliable, but it needs mid grade/silver grade gasoline to avoid other engine light problem due to poor quality gasoline.Hope to drive it pass 300,000 km.

  • What if the seal on the outer tie rod is busted, should I replace it soon?

  • @YeshuaisYahweh1 If you have anything loose that is related to your steering, in this case your tie rod, it needs to be replaced NOW.

  • @RightBeatRadio Alright, thanks. Ill replace it.

  • @YeshuaisYahweh1 When you say the seal, do you mean the boot? If your boot is split or ripped or damaged then yeah you may want to replace that. It could allow dirt and nasty stuff get on your tie rod ends and possibly rust or cause some other damage to the parts.... Sorry I wasnt sure what you meant by seal. :)

  • @RightBeatRadio Your prbly right. Do they sell just the boot, or should I buy a whole outer tie-rod?

  • Put some duct tape on it it will be ok!

  • I got a question....if this tie rod is loose like it's shown here will it affect the stability of the vehicle? I mean if the car is driven at about 35 or 40mph and lands on a hole or a dent on the asphalt it kind of goes out of control....swerves slightly. Could this be the problem?

  • @checo314 If you have worn tie rod ends then driving over a decent sized pot hole can definately cause you problems.

  • wow at least its the outer one the ionners can be a bitch!

  • my m3 is doing tha same thing,... but i cant find the tie rod, is not easy..!!!!

  • Wheel bearing? WTF u can totally see the play coming from the outer tie rod end!

  • @nopo2491 Yeah for real.....The tie rod end is the only thing moving! lol...

  • that is a damaged tie rod end right there.

  • That knocking side to side says it all

  • hahaha, awesome vid! That helped me out. 5*

  • Could be the wheel bearing....... Have you checked?

  • The any play in the tie rod end means it's bad. The spindle shouldn't move at all without actual tie rod moving.

On a side note, the wheel bearing was also bad. I had slid the car into a ditch and ruined both parts.

  • @knochgoon24 lol hurting. any ideas on what could be wrong with my car. The wheel shakes at high speeds...... I thought it was the tie rod but, I guess it's not. I thought that bad torque steering in a front wheel car was the tie rods. I guess it's just 250 horsepower to the wheels of a front wheel drive car that causes that. So now my steering wheel shakes yet my car feels smooth as silk to everyone else.

  • @hercules71185 is it a gm car by chance? not to diss on gm but their steering joints(the ones on the column) usually start to wear out and can even sound like a bad ball joint,if no one else in the car can feel it then my guess is its either coming from directly below you(driver side front susp) or coming through the actual steering column hope this might help

  • @MrJsowa yes i have that problem with my 92 silverado, would you know how to fix it?

  • @BassHead143 i know it invloves alot of tedious work,(removing plastic dash panels around the column that have nothing to do with the problem)but the is pretty much just like a u-joint 2/3 of the way down your steering shaft with bushings that wear out,and clunk.re-placing is should in-volve some sort of snap rings/clips that retain the bearing cups.seen one done before is a big job as the steering shaft must be removed from the vehicle to press out the joint

  • @hercules71185 Any abnormal shaking vibration occurring only at High Speed could be caused by unbalanced wheel/tire. Have the tires shop check it for you.
