  • What length muffler?? No one ever puts the length. 11, 14, 18, or 22 magnaflow.

  • @heatherandpaul2 I don't even know. All I know is it's got a Magnaflow muffler, haha.

  • @TheTerminator310 Could you measure it?

  • @heatherandpaul2 Yeah, I could. I'll come back to you with the measurements in a day or two.

  • @TheTerminator310 I would really appreciate it. Magnaflow makes many different lengths. They all sound very different. The measurement will help me very much. I like how your truck sounds, but I don not want to get the wrong muffler. Thanks

  • @heatherandpaul2 Got your measurements for you. The Magnaflow muffler on my truck is right on 18".

  • @TheTerminator310 WOW! Thank you so much. Thats perfect. If I had to guess, I thought it was the 22 inch muffler. I would have purchased the wrong one. Thank you for your time.

  • @heatherandpaul2 No problem. I think you will enjoy the sound of this muffler. I love mine.

  • It gets quieter because your losing air flow, do a "gotts mod intake" or buy a cold air intake, make a huge difference and improve MPG's ....

  • @4x4onthefloor That's what I had in mind. How much horsepower would I get from a Cold Air Intake or a "Gotts Mod intake"? Would there be a difference in how how fast it is? Right now I'm running a 7.7 second 0-60 and I wanna mostly do it for performance. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks!

  • @TheTerminator310 I cant give you exact numbers, but it will deffinately be better than stock. Gotts mod is a great cheap modification, but if you drive in wet conditions theres a chance of water going in the intake, thats why i eventually forked the extra money for the K&N air intake system.

  • @4x4onthefloor Yes, but don't these motors like to run lean? I've heard by installing a CAI it will make it run too lean cause the MAF sensor is not there anymore or something like that. Is there anyway to stop it from running lean?, cause I don't want to damage my motor or anything.

  • @TheTerminator310 Yes, your right. you have 2 superior options: a chip or a programmer. My buddy has been running just a K&N CAI for the last 80,000 kms with no problems (without a chip or programmer).

  • @4x4onthefloor Yeah, I heard the Gryphon programmer with custom tunes can correct that pretty well. I just know that running lean can make the motor run too hot in the cylinders that causes premature wear (something I really want to avoid, haha). I appreciate the info. Thanks.

  • @TheTerminator310 No Problem, If you dont want to spend the money on custom tunes, a SuperChip will help solve the problem aswell.

  • It may be my speakers, but I honestly can't tell any difference at all...my uncle has a magnaflow catback (the real one, not just a muffler swap) on his 2008 and there is a definite difference...still fairly quiet but much louder than this.

  • @TitanVK56 There's definitely a difference. It's prolly the camera. With me sitting in the truck it's loud. Not LOUD, but good sound. 2,000 RPMs is loudest point. The only thing I'm dissapointed with is it gets so quiet after that point.

  • Hi you know i watched this video and the one where you and your grandfather go for a ride.Ok nothing funny about that till i looked at the date one year ago the same date in january 22,2010.I watched it one year from the date it was posted ,,,January 22,2011 yesterday.good to hear from you and thats a cool ford you got!! P.S don't ever challenge your gramfather to a tugofwar cause his slant6 will drage you sideways LOL hehe.....

  • @arkansastrash320 lol, yeah. He'll drag my truck sideways if my truck is on ice and his is on pavement, lol hahaha. I love that old truck though, but man my foot is to the floor going up hills most of the time.

  • @TheTerminator310 I was joking.Foot on the floor sounds like the transmission mite need a fluid and filter change?Sounds like its not down shifting like it should. If you punch it then it should drop to lower gears so the truck would have more power. The way you said the truck is not drove alot it could have a sticky governor?Back when i had my slant in my truck with that 3 speed manual trans man i could burn rubber and pull heavy loads.

  • @arkansastrash320 lol, I knew you were joking, haha. I was too. And the governor is not completely stuck. It does downshift, but you gotta mash hard and even when it downshifts it still doesn't have much power. Now one thing that might have something to do with low power is the truck came with 205/75/R15 tires. Now the truck has 235/75/R15 tires and that might be a cause. My Brother had a 318 Dodge and said it was the same way. Just gutless. I think it's just cuz it has a automatic.

  • @arkansastrash320 Hey back when I frist got my truck it would not run with the slant6 cause the flywheel for some reason was lose.So the frist thing i did was take the transmission out and tighten it.After we got it started and running my brother was like i can't believe all the power it has.No joke it would bark the tires with each gear change but thats a manual trans for you.But trust me if your grandads trans was right it would bark the tires !Your grandfathers trans is not working right.

  • @arkansastrash320 P.S a new set of spark plugs in that ole slant6 would sure never hurt anything trust me it will start better and have more power.I hope you put a new set in it and see if it don't preform some better...

  • @arkansastrash320 Yeah and the tranny fluid has never been replaced. He never drives that truck and he's had it for 24 years and hasn't even had 1 trans fluid change.

  • @TheTerminator310 Oh WOW no wonder.I hope you tell him change it before he destroies that transmission completely. Not changing that fluid is bad it gets moisture in it dirt and metal fileings.Just bad thing for any truck. That transmission would be so easy to rebuild.I would have it smoking them tires i have rebuilt 727s before they are tuff trans. Thanks

  • @arkansastrash320 Haha, yeah. He got the money to get it fixed anyway. He ain't worried about it.

  • @TheTerminator310 Well I understand. But that aint transmission fluid its probably brown pudding in that transmission LOL No wonder it don't down shif like it should.I got a headache see you later adam.Later paul

  • @TheTerminator310 Ha Ha 24 years without changing it i would say he aint worried. One of these days its going stall going up a hill and thats it a new transmission will be in order or a rebuild .

  • @arkansastrash320 Haha, yeah. It'll just get a new one.

  • @arkansastrash320 It must not be. The truck has the torqflite 727 3 spd and I think it's got a bad torque converter. I have to say this, the truck has always been this gutless. This truck has never even has the power to bark the tires around a curve. It's always been like that.

  • @TheTerminator310 Very possible. But a new trans filter and fresh fluid would help.Have you checked to make sure the transmission is full of fluid?

  • @Thunderbolt1003Fan Yeah, gas is high. And I'm not saying this would happen, but the 2004 and 2005's had VCT phaser problems. Those are the little gears on the end of the camshaft. Those VCT phasers make the camshaft move up and down and those little gears have been known to rattle and in worse case scenario, just blow all to pieces and cause top-end carnage in the engine. Not saying that would happen, but I'm recommending you to get a 2006 or later model to avoid this.

  • Nice truck there sounds good!! How your grandfather doing and his little dodge truck??

  • @arkansastrash320 Thanks! And it's doing great man. I love them old slant-6s. Can't beat 'em!

  • cummins sounds better haha how high did u rev it?

  • @SockBilly Duuuuur, Cummins sounds better. No sh*t, it's a diesel, lol. The only part I remember how high I revved it was with the Magnaflow exhaust was around 3,900 RPMs.

  • man i love this exaust. and u are ther luckiest kid ever. if my dad handed me the keys to the 04 or 07 id be fuckin break dancin. i cant sit still thinkin one day it might happen. idk man. one day. america

  • @northsiderollers lol, yeah. Thanks, man.
