@JensKolonD he's not playing in different modes, he's just playing triads going up scale degrees in a diatonic G maj scale. he's wrong about the first chord, that's not a G maj triad.. maybe a G maj 7 without a root

@elekibuumu not to start an argument over youtube, but yes, it is in G maj. he starts on the iii which is a B minor chord, but ends on a vii°, which is f sharp, which would logically speaking resolve to the major I, being G

It looks like b minor triad but it just b (3) d (5) and f sharp (7) of Gmaj 7. So there is no root cause particulary it should be played by bassman:)
