Why do you keep deleting this comment? Can't handle the fact that the tailpipe of McCain's A-4 is 6 feet from the ground and the rocket pod on the F-4 is only about 2 1/2 feet from the ground. Also, it is a fact that heat rises. If McCain did try to do a wet start, with the low RPM of the engine, the fire ball would only travel about 20 feet and UP. So, he couldn't have started the fire. What other comments have you deleted?

These people along with Fred White and John McCain were assigned to VA-46 and that squadron was on the Forrestal. Also, there names are mentioned in the investigation report. BTW, there is a major difference between people assigned to ship's company and people assigned to the individual squadrons.

This video deserves more than the brief fly-by comment I left yesterday. I like the way you sing from behind bars when you reach the lyric about captivity; this also works on the level of looking in at a bird in its cage. I like the misspelling of "Forestal" as it alludes to this historical event fading from memory. The boxing gloves juxtaposes McCain's infamous temper with the fragility of the old bird. Suggestion: add canary audio and video. Still LOL!

I was in the first gulf war and it was something that I don't care to do ever again. As a veteran, keeping our military strong is very important to me. I have great respect for our military, history and the truth. After working on A-4s and A-6s for 8 years, I became a pilot and so when I hear lies like this one, it is personal. While in the Marine Corps, I worked on the A-4 and the A-6 attack aircrafts. Both planes use the same engines and I was turn qualified on the A-6 and never had a wet start. Every person working in the aviation field for the Navy and Marine Corps is trained in aviation safety in part because of what happened on the Forestal. The F-4 that fired the rocket had its safety pins pulled before electric power was turned on and that was the cause of the fire.
