I'm from Essex County. The "woo woos" taught our untalented JV squad how to cheer. That's why they suck, well also the coach has some doing. I'm the same age as the JV cheer coach, and she should know better than to bring this type of material to Essex High School with such young girls. That makes Essex look trashy!But, this is not a cheer sqaud. This is a step team. You cant even hear what y'all are saying. SO....untill y'all learn how to cheer, do not call yallselves a cheer squad.
you are SADLY misstaken if you believe that your JV squad looks trashy. Another thing is that you are probably hating on them because perhaps you didn't even make the squad. This is a different type of cheering and not a STEP TEAM. One thing is for sure and that is that the WORLD RENOWNED VSU WOO WOOS are known throughout the different states as the BEST!!! get over yourself.
Well when I was in high school I loved the woo woos...now I feel like they have fallen off and no longer live up to the name that they were given. Nobody in the CIAA is really killing in terms of cheerleading squads. The title of the BEST CHEERING SQUAD IN THE CIAA IS UP FOR GRABS!!!!
I totally disagree with you on this statement. But, you do have your opinion!!! The Woo-Woo's have always stood ahead of all CIAA Schools and others in various conferences as well. Fallen off? I doubt that very serious. They are a force to be reckon with!!! They have had the same coach for over 35 years and she still ensures that the Squad is TOP NOTCH!!!

Excellent group of young ladies, not to mention they are very SMART as well. Most of them are go on the become GREEK Members and still continue to cheer and represent for the Woo-Woos!!! They have a very unique love for each other!!! Its amazing!! and a very close knit organization.
i wonder if Dr. Johnson would break the tradition and let males become woo woo's, i dont think the squads moves are that feminine to where a male would look awkward doing them, cuz i know a lot of boys who have considered trying out for the woo woo's, and have the potential to make the team.
Dr. Johnson had guys on the squad before and they were really good. She would encourage them to tryout again. They just need to keep in mind that it takes allot of hardwork and dedication for this squad. She takes her job duties really serious when it comes to maintaining the image of the Woo-Woos.
well,,i have thought over and over again to try out, but im scared that i might not have the "image" that Dr. johnson wants, so im gonna wait till next year when im back in shape.
Yes, its very important to be in Shape for this squad. Again, Dr. Johnson looks for allot out of the girls that are on the squad. Mostly, she looks for (3) things: Grades, Looks and Personality. Its important that you should atleast have these 3 qualities. The men that were on the squad before aren't called "Woo-Woo's" they are called the Men of Troy. And they all were in great shape. She is very open to opening back up the squads to guys again.
The woo woos are a good cheer squad and all but no disrespect to all of the woo woo lovers but "the Woo Woos" is just a funny name :)
