so i'm stuck with a phone with problems and i paid so much for the phone as it is. i bought it unlocked for 800$ and they want 100$ just to fix it. that's like saying i paid 900$ for the phone. that's sad and i'm not made of money lol
to formatt memory card or built in memory card go to tools>utilities>memory>options>format mass memory,it will say memory is in use ignore and contine it will somtimes ask for code which i believe the standard is 12345,gl

Then press and hold "3″, the "Green button" and "*" - Turn on and keep holding all buttons untill the phone fully restarts. If successfully, you'll be asked to reenter the date, time, city, etc. Its tough but it works
also i recomend a reformat of external/card memory
shortass you can always reset phone to how it was when you brought it .if you are able to get past the nokia screen use this numer *#7370# just dial it like a number.format mass memory also

For people suffering problems with their N95 try updating the firmware using the Nokia Software updater. You can download it from Nokia's website. Run it on the PC, plug in yer phone via USB and off you go. I did this and I have no problems. Even the GPS locks on quicker.

i have the same problem, sometimes it turns off and on again, sometimes i dont have network coverage for long periods of time either. My guess is that it may have somehting to do with dropping the phone and breaking the internal antenna???

So just cause there are a couple of faulty ones you can say that the N95 doesn't work well in general. Only the people who have a problem with it post a movie. Every one that works properly doesn't get attention.

Yeah...we had a member in our forum that had the exact same problem. We had him do the reset (* 3 green) while turning the phone on and that fixed the problem

it happened to my phone too. they reset my phone and it works again. it took 10 mins to fix it.. the program cost and the dongle cost $100..

1. Power off the phone (e.g. remove then replace battery)
2. Hold down the following three buttons * 3 GREEN
3. Power on phone (still holding the three buttons)
4. Wait 60 seconds (still holding the three buttons)
maybe a visit to the allaboutsymbian dot com forum might help.
