our class finished reading the devil's arithmetic. truely, this is cruel and unimaginable. how shall we explain this these days and to further generations? that humans, our OWN kind, could do this to fellow people that believe in different things? i am disgusted at this and still can't believe what unearthly things people, mere people, did to others.
Auschwitz (Oświęcim in polish) is both a town (about 40.000 live there today) and was a concentration camp (built close to the city). Just to clarify this for you.

both but the real name of the town is oswiecim and aushwitz is the german version of it.
