We had one of these, which was bought new in 1953. The old loud hum from the motor brings back memories of me using it to help me fall asleep when I was about this kid's age. Yes, it was heavy! But it was still working great in the 90's when it was sold in a garage sale (wish we had kept it). Thanks for the video!

Cool fan. There's a lot of difference between High, Medium, and Low settings.

I agree, very nice fan there. I've always liked fans with a nice quiet slow low speed like that.
