@candoyja that'snot true. The reason we think so is cause the girls in reality are not westernised. we are used to think of beauty in western attire. When u see dot tilak saree etc it is off putting to outsiders in reality they have the great features and color . and they are definately not rare.

To all you complaining: there's a difference between fair/light skin and white skin - to look "fair" doesn't necessarily mean to look white. Besides, light skin to many Asians are seen as dark to many White people. And there's nothing wrong with changing skin tone, so as long as skin colour remains the same (beige is a shade of brown and yellow) - it's individual choice anyway. There are a lot of White people tanning their skin, so why can't non-Whites lighten their skin??

What exactly does "represented correctly" and "whitewashed" mean? So if an Indian is light, he/she is not "correctly representative" and "whitewashed"? Right....
