Andy starting appearing on the show during this season. I dont know exactly how he started appearing or why. I just remember him coming into the store and I think he had a job at Edna's Edibles. Someone correct me if Im wrong. As for George I remember him appearing on Season 7 he was hired as the carpenter to rebuild Edna's Edibles into Over Our Heads after EE burnt down. He just stuck around after that.

I saw the episode last night where Edna's Edibles burned down. Haven't seen that one in years. Brought back a lot of memories. Not to sound dumb or anything, I think that episode was part of the reason I was afraid of this show as a kid. Nonetheless, it's a good episode.

Lisa Whelchel actually looked the worst with the weight. Mindy was Mindy, Jo never really gained any true weight, and Kim had those chipmunk cheeks.

Lisa was naturally very attractive, but that extra weight did her no favors.

I have a question about Facts of Life. Is it a sitcom? If so does it have laugh tracks? Because I really hate laugh tracks. (which is why I hate Friends, I never get the chance of getting the jokes on my own, and that ruins them in my opinion)

It is a sitcom, yes. And I do not know for sure, but the truth is, pretty much every sitcom used a laugh track until Malcolm in the Middle came around.

i wrote this comment almost a year ago and reading now i am shocked by the way it sounded...all i wanted to say is that they won a little of weight till the season 5, then, the producers ask them to loose...i'm so sorry if i offend somebody...I LOVE THE FACTS OF LIFE, it's my favorite show for years and i think these girls are the most beautifull girls in the history of television...doesn't matter if they were a little chubby or not...i'm sorry, i really don't know why i wrote this

robin thicke was on a talk show last week and said that his mother is the one singing the intro. i think he alos said that his father, allen thicke, wrote the intro. he did for a coupole of other shows as well.

Yep, that's his mother Gloria Loring who also played Liz Chandler Curtis on 'Days of our Lives' from 1980-1986 and had a #2 Billboard hit pop song, a duet with Carl Anderson titled "Friends and Lovers" which was Shane & Kim's love theme from Days.

This was one of the best seasons ever. I loved that they finally let Jo undo her ponytail. This was also the season where Lisa Whelchel finally lost the weight the producers were always pressuring her about.
