She wanted a luxury car with an unprecedented warranty and admired how Lee Iacocca transformed the Chrysler Corporation from a joke to a juggernaut. Plus, she liked the symmetry of the "pentastar" logo (it looks the same front, back and when held up to a mirror).

Love the video- Hey ShadraX, this video is for 1986. A 1986 New Yorker was my most reliable car. It was 19 years old and had over 350,000 miles on it when it finally began to fall apart. Even though my New Yorker was in bad shape by 2005, the engine and transmission were still perfect.

My 1986 New Yorker wasn't turbocharged, it had the very reliable standard 2. 5 liter engine. After my 1986 New Yorker, I bought a 2.2 liter turbo Ice Blue 1987 New YorkeYou may be aware that the 2.2 turbo engine is highly stressed and until a change was made many of these engines came with weak head gaskets that blew apart under pressure.
