  • sorry RANDY. im sure you are special. but i meant to say SOMETHING SPECIAL ABOUT MARLON!!! it is not EASY to move the EYE from the LEADS like MJ, DIANA ROSS! but MARLON had a STYLE that MOTOWN or his family should have POPPED. he should have gone into ACTING! speaking of POPPING. watch him as they DO it!

  • Who was the choreographer for the J5? I know they had to use somebody who created steps for the Temps. Great dancing and playing too. Tito & Jermaine were in the pocket along with Marlon & Jackie. MJ was doing his thing!

  • I was literally groovin in my seat! That was funky rite there! Pure soul. That damn Jermaine and Tito was RIPPIN on them strings! LOL!

  • Yes Black MJ... I hate that he turned into a white Girl LOL RIP MJ your were one of the most awesome in the game.

  • back then, they had michael jackson. now, we have justin bieber. the standard for super, mega child superstar singers has really declined over the years.. smh

  • @jaxriaj13 agreed. I was walking through a religion section at this bookstore and i saw a book about "Justin Bieber's fame and faith" and it mentioned on the cover how he affected both his fans and their parents through his good acts, and i couldn't help but think...Michael did ALL of that! but nobody would dare write a nice book about him! All these artist today give to charity because they saw Mike doing it...Mike did it because it was in his heart ever since he was a kid watchin tv with ma

  • YO. HOLY SHIT. @ 1:39 that build up in to that amazing chordal resolution is OUT OF CONTROL GOOD. WOW. THIS IS AMAZING. I WAS IMMEDIATELY BROUGHT TO TEARS UPON HEARING THAT. WHAT??? holy SHIT that's good. :-)

  • BROTHER

  • I've downloaded this version of the song....it is much better than the original recording

  • The day Irecieved the dreaded call about his death. I heard this song playing on the radio. His sound, style, energy and voice was just amazing. GONE TOO SOON! I will never get over loosing him. I grew up on his music, fortunatelyI got to see them in Chicago around 1970 at the BLACK EXPO for Under$5. It was electric even back then. Everyone stood in chairs the whole night!

  • hi jackson 5 my nam is tiana i am 12

  • Future child molester.

  • I don't think we realize who we lost. He was so amazing nobody wants to say goodbye

  • Whoever played the drums for this song was gettin it

  • This sounds like a live recording.

The way music should be done

  • This life is hard, cold, cruel ..MJ is in a better place than this nasty earth.. He did do he best to change this earth but the people would not except the help .. Bless Michael , I am so proud your soul hopefully i will be able to see u one more time..

  • he´s awesome. =) was....

  • I never can say goodbye Michael.

  • beatiful music make me cry

  • thumbs up if u r here because of glee :D

  • @laythhudgens123 no im here cause michaels voice called 4 me here

  • @losdodgerz no he went from hell to heaven

  • Impressives video, voice, choreography, everything!

  • tell me if i'm wrong but mj's dad must have been a strong person to keep the older brothers of mj a way from drugs but some how he lost mj!!! maybe his age and career ?????

  • @Ookami885 Actually the Jackson 5 were raised in a christan religion called "Jevovah Witness" the familys strong christian upbringing is what kept the older brothers away from drugs-Michael being the baby boy had a more difficult time adjusting to the religion in his childhood -he was a very misunderstood person -RIP -MJ

  • @losdodgerz STFU!! U Must be a justin bieber fan. Innit?

  • Michael fuiste el mas grande

  • Sooo much soul and vibrato in such a little body... this is my favorite song from the J5!

  • Michael I can't neva say goodbye to you...:(

  • wow!

  • Truly, truly, once in a lifetime! This is not only dancng they was doing it was actually choreography. Perfect timing and syncronization. It must have taken hours of practice and to this date( and I'm old enough) I have never seen a group of performers that were perfect in step. Not the Temptations or the Eunyphics. The best!

  • @showtytony well joe jackson worked them like 15 hours a day and if they didn't get it perfect he would beat them... their great performers but it their childhood must have been so terrible. i feel bad for them... but mainly michael, deprived of his childhood, destroyed and lied about by the press, and killed by his doctor. when will we stop doing this to each other?

  • I love the ending....now that's entertainment from a 12 year old.

  • flip wilson show i shur miss them days..and this is how it sounded on the old tv sets.we had more great shows on crappy tvs and no cable...now we have cable 100s of channels with stereo sound great picture but but nothing is on

  • I still cry when I think he's gone .

  • @freedoomofspeech

I do as well just finished crying as me and my son watched We Are the World! I cried I miss him I really miss his love energy!

  • This is beautiful they never knew he would become the King of POP

  • @MsCediced I cry too whenever I watch this. On the one hand, it is wonderful to witness the level of talent displayed on this performance but then it also hurts to watch because he is gone.

  • how can their heads stay on? lmao

  • i like the part at 2:08

    still missin the king

  • :')

  • His live songs sound just as good as recorded, his voice is amazing.

  • truly much he told us girls goodbye! thumbs up if u believe this! rip mj

  • thumbs up if astro brought u here from x-factor

  • it's sad he never really got to be a kid

  • astro brought me here

  • rip king mj

  • thumps up if you are here because of Astro's performance on x-factor usa

  • omg... his voice is so sweet.. he had one of the best voices.. especially as a CHILD! awwh

  • r.i.p mjj

  • quanta saudade de vc mike..te amo00♥

  • Talent is giving to you and this man shared it with the World! Love MJ

  • God, his voice was so pure. Clearly the most professional child singer of the last 60 years

  • living in the 70's most have been great

  • I LOVED that version! WOW!!!

  • i just love is little anglic voice

  • Damn you 70's babies you guys had everything....even the Jackson 5!!!

  • ok my american people, we all have to admit that this song is super pretty, but my gosh, starting at the point at 1:39, it just put chills through my body, his voice is incredible, and actually it does make u wonna cry when he starts off at that point cause it totally remind me of him totally, R.I.P mike mike, love u mane..........

  • Ahhhh... the wonderful memories from the Jackson 5!

    Miss you so much M.J.

  • Amazing choreography for this era of dance. The brothers were always extremely well in sync with one another. Awesome video :)

  • KING

  • im crying.

  • ..why so we can pay Tito and Jermaine's, and Latoya's ,Marlon's debts?? Micheal kids are fine...this would not be "for Micheal". THIS WOULD BE FOR THE GREEDY FUCKERS at the record company...if his kids get anything from re-releases of Micheal's genius...fine but really at this point Katherine is mostly likely shelling $ out to family and living OFF his talent to support everybody except maybe Janet. ALL is money should be for his kids only...NOT JERMAINE'S... Joe's etc.

  • @Mspendragon72 Harsh words, but so true. Us fans need to open our eyes so we can see that Michael's family (not his kids, of course) is making money off of his tragic death and his immense fame and talent. Sad, but true.

  • @Eluzara ...and you know, come to think of it...THEY probably don't see it that way BECAUSE IT'S been Micheal since DAY ONE...G Knight saw a 7 year old Micheal singing and dancing like J. Brown in the cutest way and it was THAT that compelled her to tell Gordy about this group in Gary that she saw...NOT Jermaine or Tito or Marlon or tall handsome Jackie...Micheal has been the family bread and butter since Joe couldnot support the children he and Katherine kept making...Little Micheal...sad/sick

  • @Eluzara I believe that all kinds of people will be using Jackson's name for profit. At least his family will showcase him in a positive light. I don't mind, its his family. His mother has to take care of his children, and other than Jermaine, who I think is trying to keep his brother's legacy alive and profiting from it, I don't see any of the of the others really profiting from MJ memory at all.

  • The world has truly lost an immence talent in Michael Jackson.

From the time of his youth he was a type of an anomaly, a rarity of sorts... Unlike anything anyone's every seen or experienced.

I miss him dearly. A talent such as his comes once in a lifetime.

  • @deearmour2 Maybe even once in an eternity...either way, it's not something that anyone who's alive today will ever see again. But i'm still betting that nobody in the future will experience something quite like this

  • p.s. I think it's evident that Michael's contribution to music and dance will overshadow the problems he had later in life - it will be his legacy

  • amazing - so much talent

  • Jackson bros were the best i can never get enough...

and yea!!! damn you 70's ppl im jealous of you!!

  • MJ greatest

  • I HATE MICHEAL DIED!!!! Never can say goodbye.

  • For me this was MJ's best music. The older he got the more he lost himself. May you now find rest, Michael.

  • @lougalou04 disagree but understand! His later music is masterpieceaful as well (yes i just created that word)

  • king!

  • Another #1 hit for The Jackson 5 on the Rhythm & Blues charts. This was the 225th #1 R&B song of the Rock Era. This song also hit #2 on the Top 40 charts and #33 in the United Kingdom.

  • we miss you michael xx

  • michael i will never say goodbye i love you too much to say i will never, never, never, never, never, never say goodbye <3 :)

  • what yall young folks know about this ? lol

  • @soothingseas01 And all that money goes to his already rich family at the expence of us?

  • @temperz I like your comment, but I have a problem with bad spellers. Sorry, expence should be expense.

  • @draschka10 Sorry that I'm not perfect, or haven't bothered to download a dictionary, I type fast so, errors are bound to happen.

    Was that OK sir?

  • i like that dance at :25

  • No matter what, i Truly can never say goodbye to you Michael.....

  • we can never say goodbye to u michael crying rite now

  • Seriously, when you hear this, you can't really picture that he's the guy that made timeless tracks like Beat It, Billie Jean, Thriller,Pretty Young Thing, The Way You Make Me Feel, Bad and Human Nature, so versatile, RIP MJ.

  • I think Michael was 12 or 13 here

  • I wish this whole Michael Jackson court case will go away so he can rest in peace smdh!!!!

  • Mike was that good because by this time they had been practicing and performing for hours everyday for about five years. And if they didnt get it perfected in rehearsal they would have gotten a belt on the backside. So they had a little extra motivation to get it right. People talk about their dad being harsh but he is the main reason we were able to experience a Michael Jackson in our lifetime.

  • We became so used to hearing Michael sing as a child that we sort of forgot what an amazing gift he had in that voice!

  • these people didnt even realize they were witnessing something that would never be seen again.

  • My birthday is the same as Michael's Aug. 29. I always loved that.

God gave him to us ~ such a beautiful soul, even as a child he was great :)

  • lol..love this..but at sometimes it looks like the dude alllllll the way to the left got on heels lol...why everbody in the croud look all stiff...

  • @AvidFlowHeirs they were mostly whites and in that time whites were racists i mean they could have not been racists but in that time it was more common that if you were white you were a racist against blacks

  • @rileylindsy0611 true that....

  • Is the audio clean...help me out hear,,,I'm hearing my baby singing with a speech impairment,,, Flip Wilson show...never mind... think I'll take my med's now...Night-T Nite

  • Master singer. He was a baby! I love and miss you. Grew up loving you my whole life. I was born in 72 and fell in love with you when off the wall came out.

  • Lenny Kravitz said a young Michael Jackson was his favourite artist.

  • @ZanZaBar360 what did he do?

  • my man MJ. look at tha swagga. RIP to tha King of POP

  • I really wish I would have been around in this era.

  • Great song and one of my favorites to sing.

  • Dam them boyz use 2 kill shit Lmfaoo... Real talk doe

  • EPIC!

  • one of my fav of all time

  • this was the Flip Wilson Show in 1972, so micheal was either 13 or 14...they sang the song live......Michela voice didnt begin to change until 1973-74....u can hear his voice in between changes in Dancing machine

  • this was young talent back in the day....now its justin beiber

  • Meu bb. Te mao muito. saudades

  • When I was a kid in the 70's, I thought I was MJ's biggest fan but I later found he has big fans world wide. I am glad that his fans far out number the many haters.

  • @ZanZaBar360 Judge not lest ye be judged! Hate the sin not the sinner.

  • sound is a bit fuzzy

  • This is some incredible dancing.

  • Me : Mom i'm gonna Give to 174 people what they deserve

Mom : you are going alone son?

Me: Now , i'm going with 7381 friends

  • I cant believe he doing this live!

  • Barry Gordy and Motown cranked out one hit after another; if it wasn't for him, so many names today would never have been - included the Jackson's.

  • what a magnificently beautiful person....phenomenal... im glad he was able to endure as long as he did here.... a genius of that magnitude had to subdue himself daily just to stay here....he was so far beyond us it is unfathomable.

  • This performance is sucha replica of him as an adult listen to it and watch without looking at his face.... but watch the mannerisms... the moves... the pitch and the theory in his voice.....his music has always been HIS MUSIC>>> He's owned everything he's sung.....WOW

  • Thanks for sharing Msmoodyblue:)

  • bitemenow609,your soo right!

  • Now that is music....

  • Actually, he was 13. I believe this was 1971. Happy birthday, MJ!

  • Happy Birthday Michael, love you always

  • Muito boa essa música, você não consegue tirar ela da cabeça!

  • i luv it wen he rock his lil butt soo cute

  • The Jackson 5 are the greastest teen band ever, Marlon spin moves are sick, and Michael (dancing) and Jermaine (bass playing) rhythm from 2:15 to 2:18 is priceless!!

  • SHUT UP AND ENJOY THE MUSIC!

    ╭∩╮(︶︿︶)╭∩╮.

  • muito bom,beatiful.

  • Thanks Joe Jackson & his good wife for your wonderful legacy.......no-one's perfect....no-one.......

  • DAMN! What a voice?! Wowww..... raw talent!

  • Por que diabos toca a claque do Chaves no começo do vídeo???

  • amen!!

  • he had more soul at that tender age then most artists today

  • the jackson 5 is the best band in the world no 1 will ever be as good as michael ever

  • LOVE THIS!!!!

  • Aaawww, look at Michael! Lil skinny self. Lol RIP <3

  • Just to think we all love a man whom we never even met in person! It's hard to believe that I never met Michael when he felt to me like family.

  • i wish i was born in the 70's to see Micheal Jackson in person

  • @bannapeel123 If you want to see Jackson in person, then go to HELL. He'll be waiting there for you.

  • @bannapeel123 me to i was in 75 but i didnt c him cuz i was lil

  • @bannapeel123 I was born in 1981 and i have seen him, going to a concert solved the problem :)

  • he is made of music not flesh.

  • Dammit! I was born in the wrong era! Ugh! Lucky 70s ppl!

  • He's Solid Gold! <3

  • People dont perform like this anymore. Raw without auto tune and without enhancements to keep them on pitch. I miss good music...thats why I dont even turn on the radio!! AHH THE HARMONY!!!!!!!! WOOOOOO!!!!! This version rocks!

  • is there a better sounding version of this performance anywhere? i'd like to turn it into an mp3.

  • @ninakore This version of the song was actually released on the J5 cd "I Want You Back! The Unreleased Masters"...it came out in '09

  • @209Champ thanks. luckily its on itunes.

  • damn I like this version

  • Listen to Jacob Latimore boy got Soul and Has Been Told he sounds like The King of Pop also!

  • man i love him he's so CUTE !!!!! and his voice is so pretty sigh i miss him

  • im just wondering (im a massive fan of michael) but i wonder if back when they started becoming famous if people hated him like some people because they were ruining good music back then like how we say justin bieber recks good music i wonder if people thought they were recking music like the beatles or elvis presley

  • @Horseloverkooder No because their songs were actually great. Justin Bieber is hated because he never once released a good song
