You actually don't have to reboot. Just go to the "Processes"-tab in the Windows Task Manager. Find the process "explorer.exe" and end it. Go to the "Applications"-tab, click "New Task", type det name of the file you just made (in his case this would be: explorerkidguru.exe). And you're all done ;-)

Open task manager - ctrl,alt,delte then open registery editor and set ur shell back to explorer.exe you probaly set the wrong shell name or didnt save it right so it booted off a blank shell

There is no reason to do this on Vista because the start menu is just an orb. (not unless your in classic mode though.)
