Drugs crushed the poor people. Who wants to support an addict? Its really hard, all you can do is help the kids and hopefully they wont follow in the crack mother/father footsteps. I still remember 8th and Butler (the badlands). Suburbs got those addicts too, its just not shown on TV

This is so sad. But why, why, WHY is it ALWAYS blacks and hispanics in these dire straights? There would be no badlands if Philadelphia cops would stop extorting bribes from drug dealers to look the other way. If pigs would do the job which they are paid to do, Philly would be a much safer city and murders and assaults would decline dramatically. However, pigs only care about themselves and fueling their unwarranted god complexes with the blood of taxpayers who ironically pay them for protection.

In big cities like Philly, you are going to have slums like this where there are no jobs, no money, and no economy at all, which force kids to have to deal drugs and mug people to have money, but that is not the truth. What people need to do who have nothing is to focus on an education, and attempt to get out of that hellhole. Now, I do believe they demolished most of this area between 2005-2008 when the gov demanded a clean up the city deal, but im sure theres still alot left.
