Rock guitarists today have no originality, they are all rank amateurs in comparison to the great blues rock melodists of the 60's and 70's, I was there, sure do miss it.

Thats total bullshit. Whether you like contemporary rock music or not is a matter of personal taste. But saying that there is no originality is plain wrong. I suggest you start listening to bands like Rage against the machine, Incubus or System of a down for some highly original guitar playing.

60ies + 70ies music sure is great but man, wake up, rock music has evolved and not all of it sucks, plenty of great stuff out there actually.

Now I put it together. I remember Santana. They were really big in the early 70's the Hippies and people loved them and YES this is the reason this guitar playing went along with the smoking. Poof! Oh those were the days. Lay back and enjoy I didn't get the picture Bonk!
