Wow so much going on here...I am suprised Disney put this behind the scenes show out to the public like this,,,showing Epcot being built by regular people. Disney always wanted to create the illusion that it was all a real fairytale place, not a man made tourism park. I also would like to know what the two subliminal messages with Mickey Mouse are all about at the beginning...did anyone slow this down to hear/see what it says?

@TimmyME It's a variation on Walt's dream. The Walt Disney company felt that without Walt's guidance they could not succesfully build EPCOT the city. They still wanted to build EPCOT in some form, however. And so they did it with a media that they were more familiar with: The theme park. Epcot today is obviously very different from EPCOT Center. Unfortunately, the park just never took off like the company hoped. People don't want to learn it seems, they just want to be mindless.

Disney didn´t want to spend the money without Walt. They took the cheap way out how one ever looks at it. That is a pitty.

BTW, at one point in the video there is a man with a blue shirt and white hardhat on his right side, that is my Uncle. The guys in 517 referred to him as the godfather :D

Michael Landon was soooo cool. I think it's funny that in almost every opening shot he has his knee up. I went to EPCOT about a month after if first opened I was only four but I still remember it. I love EPCOT. I also saw the first space shuttle launched on that trip.

EPCOT: Experimental Prototype Community of the Future. It was originally supposed to be a city but Disney did not want to be in the business of owning land and renting it out(only rents would have been available) at the time.

THey later went against this with the creation of Celebration, FL.
