Excellent video. I was in London for close to three weeks last year. It was was wonderful seeing St Pauls, walking across the bridge and then visiting Tate Modern. A pleasure to watch your video!
The first seconds of the footage from the bridge looks like cgi, or something from "V for Vendetta". Or something. Er. Hope you get whatever point I'm trying to make.
I like these films - the new camera is coming into its own now. The bridge still looks one cool piece of design! Couple of things - please tell me the gorgeous birdcalls around 0:50 secs is of the time and not put on later with a Swanee whistle!, and there is a good view of the 'Wedding Cake' spire @ 1:51.
hehe! Scary Wobbly Bridge- Yes, make it out of glass too, and have hungry crocodiles in a tank looking upwards at the tourists as it swings in the wind! Sorry, I don't know why I said that. I'm a nice person actually. I just felt a little bit dramatic.
I know just what you mean! I've lived near the Golden Gate Bridge for a lifetime, and I never walked on it.. The railing is only waist high! Can you imagine? I get nightmares if I even think about it! ; )
Although it is one of the most beautiful things you will ever see-from a distance! And IMO, no distance is too great! hehe!
i think it wobbled because they got the tension wrong, so the vibrations caused by the footsteps caused it to go crazy. i think they just adjusted it so that wouldn't happen anymore, i think it's safe!
Not seen the video yet... a 3 minute vid takes at least 3 minutes to load for me these days for some reason :-( But, you started to edit this video nine hundred and ninty nine thousand nine hundred and eighty six and half billion years before the universe ever existed! for that alone I will give 4 stars... only kiddin... 5 stars!
The reason the bridge was swaying is because subcontiously everyone walks in rhythen in groups. When they opened the bridge so many people corssed it the rhythem of people waling made it way. Im pretty sure thats it but yea. Nice video.
That was in Harry Potter 6!

You think this is fake? What, is my life some sort of virtual reality or something?
Eliseharris 2 years ago
How do I know you aren't a computer-generated virtual character?
Of course, how do you know I'm not?
Maybe we both are???

I walked accross that before they "fixed" it - much better as a fairground ride!

Yes, and apparently safer then too.

The call is from a man selling bird call toys I am afraid! He is usually just under the bridge.

Let's hope he ducks his head.

That would probably be a great attraction! Not for me though as I am a little scared of bridges and heights - especially bridges at heights.

But you are in a film. You're in a tiny little window on my computer screen. ;-)
Do you think you're a real person, in a real world?
Good afternoon, good evening and goodnight.

If this is the first leg of a long walk, will there be further 'legs' to come?
Steve7508 2 years ago
We walked for hours - so some more. Not sure how much yet.

Ah, The Globe!! Nice to see the sun there.
Just saw a MI5/Spooks episode where an explosion of 'VX' gas went off in Central London. The smoke could be that.....

Only if we travelled back in time to the point where they filmed that! Maybe we did.

You should have checked if your health insurance covered bridges collapsing or not.

Everytime I walk on the bridge I do wonder if something is going to happen. I dont know why but I have that feeling.
Good interesting facts about the trip across the bridge.

Interesting take on suspension design with that bridge.
What's the towering building at right in distance at 1:32?
I'll trade you your sun for my Midwest U.S. rainy climate.
And I nominate Ollie for best 5 0'clock shadow on the Net.
Is that a multilevel parking garage at 1:30 center foreground?

St Bride's? The wedding cake church - so called because of the similarity to wedding cake - said to be the inspiration for the layers.

I've been there, and i have photomographic evidence to prove it.
