The douche-jerk at 0:48 is a Mr. Thomas Langhorne-Phipps who calls himself an "author & writer". He snots off throughout "People Like Us".

A quick Google or Bing search of his name only brings up his appearance in "People Like Us", his wedding announcement in the NY Times Society Page and some article he wrote for New York magazine 20 years ago...........some writing career!

Me thinks that Mr. Langhorne-Phipps is just a trust fund baby sponging off his family's money.

wasp or not "wearing it to death" are called "cheap-asses". I am not wealthy so I buy comfy sofa I could afford and toss it when it wears out. I think it becomes perilous when attributing personality attributes to an entire people. The "WASP" include Germans, Dutch, English, Northern Irish, etc...a very large group of people with disparate customs and upbringings.

Does the lady use 4-letter words? (The British Royal Family doesn't. ) U and Non-U words can be corrected, tho 4 people who deserve it, only. (My cleaning lady says "Pitcher" 4 "Picture", (pitcher on the wall) -- but she's ambitous, intelligent, plays poker & nice. So I correct HER -- not my sister's ex-mom-in-law, (who says "cazette" 4 "cassette"), She pops in without calling up first! 2 Jewish 4 her own good! ULGH. (Cleaning lady is nice Catholic!)
