  • Nice Riding! Just a quick question... Wanna get into downhill what would you recommend as a good bike to start on?

  • Comment removed

  • That looks like great fun..if a little bit frightening! I did more tame version of this with a moped as a kid!

  • Right first off you posted a link to this site on one of my YouTube videos asking for what people think, personally (and I won't be alone) this site is a really shit idea. It will get loads of unsanctioned tracks shut down or make loads of trails that are perfect because they are not over run by idiots, full of braking bumps. Trail builders will hate you for it

  • OK, shameless self promotion here...trying to put a site together to map out peoples favourite rides. Upload and share. Not for profit. just a project to keep me from going nuts at work. So in blatant disregard for the rules - please have a look and let me know what you think. rideswinley com (you know where to put the dots and the w's ;)

  • i watched 4 x today for the 1st time and it was awsome! i also live in surrey! do you know any places that resembles a 4x track?

  • @datnotfair dorking has a 4x track mate, the council knocked down some jumps that were built on private land, so they built new jumps and a 4x track in a feild near dorking west station its about 2mins from the station worth checking out if your close

  • @mill3r129 thanks for that! that isn't to far away from me

  • The dude who crashes at 1:03. ha ha ha ha.....

  • @kiddie66 Haha

  • Looks good guys. Some pretty expensive kit by the looks of it!

Think we know where it is. (We being Sussex Muddy@rse :D

  • hahahaha.... i like the medical insurance tip!!! sound promising... but regarding the cost look buy a 300£ bike like kona or merida there r sum good offers out there now and than spend a good 400 on the front suspension.. that will get u a good starting bike... i`m not too Kean on full sus... unless u r crazy and do real down hill... anyone agrees???

  • really wanna ride here, but have no idea where this is!

  • I ride here most weekends, ill send you a pm telling you how to get here from the hindhead cafe if you want.

  • @ThreeDimension Would love some directions on how to get there? I live in London so would need to know from the Hindhead cafe i guess? Much appreciated...

  • I lived in Hidnhead for a couple years, Never found anything as good as that... do you still ride there?

  • where in surrey is this?

  • hindhead near liphhok

  • That looks like lots of fun (though I'm now a little too old and alot less fearless)!

  • u never get to old to ride.hell im 45 and i ride with my brothers and they cant believe that i can stay up with them

  • This vid is awesome lads, you might not wanna say but were are you biking, we've been looking for different places to try and that looks sweet! Also what is the name of that second track played its banging

  • the track is by Evil Nine on an album called You Can Be Specail Too, awesome album you should check it out.

  • quick n00bie question but does it cost anything to do all tht shit, if you take your on bike and everything...

  • lol, u cud get a capable downhill bike around £1800 i guess, bottom of the range though, but for starting out, no problem.

clothing and gear a couple hundred including a backpak. expect to need to repair or buy new parts as well. tyres arent cheap for good ones, £50 for pair, a bike tool ofcourse, inner tubes and alot of other ongoing costs

  • If you can manage to spend a £1,000 on a full suspension bike you'll be set for ages, if that seems a bit steep try getting a front suspension bike to start, which you could get for about £600. The ride to work scheme is great, becuase it means you can get a bike through your work and not pay tax - seriously look in to it. Then just find some people you get on with and are happy for you to be getting into it and you'll be set for life.

  • Also make sure you have good medical insurance

  • U should try fort William in Scotland bet use couldn't ride it wiff out falling

  • ive been there its awesome

  • im from surrey, i go biking here also. are these routes on the side of the devils punch bowl cafe or the other side??
