  • FUNKY!

  • fat sound :)

  • I so wanted those shoes!!!!!

  • The origional hipsters!

  • Very unique and used FUNK in a great way to bring the masses to great Club/Dance/House music. Lady Miss kier's voice, along with the funk of Bootsy Collins and DJ T are infectious...miss this music

  • The beat on this song is hot is hell, not to metion Miss Lady's voice. I loved this album when it first came out and love it now.

  • Love love love! And I don't know why I think of Yo Gabba Gabba when I see this album cover =D

  • Man, my parents have this whole CD and i remember being like 3 and listening to this

    and i'm only 13

  • hands down one of the best songs ever!!!....they dont make them like this anymore!! .... here's to deee-lite one of the best groups of all times!!

  • that bassline is RETARDED!!!! i still gave my cd and my candyman cd ; got em both the same time @ music land in the sandusky mall(ohio) in 1990!!

  • Somebody needs to tell Kier that her new baby daddy is lookin' for her. I'd quit smokin weed for her.

  • i mostly listen to grungy music but dee lite and engelbert have a storied place on my shelf.

  • I was 18 when Dee Lite got out and we were dancing as maniacs on the floor of a disco in Riccione, Italy, expecially with "What is Love"...

  • Dear Deeelite,

    I like it , I like it , I like it ... what u're doin to me !!!

  • If it wasn't for Deee-Lite, I would not discover myself more artistically and personally. In addition, I would walk pass house music. Thank you Deee-Lite for the flavor you brought me.

  • Reminds me of Bianca Fox....... trust me she's worth reminding of. if your out there 'B'... x

  • THANK U SO MUCH FOR POSTING!!!! :D :D Awesome

  • I was fast becoming an old white dude in 1990 when I heard this kind of music and I got a new lease on life. I loved this period of my life. I came alive again. And now that I'm an old white dude, I sneak this stuff on dance my ass off...just to keep young(er).

  • Lady Kier is the bomb!

  • Can you please upload "Who Was That" and "E.S.P."?

  • Lady Kier!

  • I was in the 4th grade when I first heard Deee-lite and it changed my world. I listened to this album everyday on cassette! This is my fave track, the beginning alone is brilliant. Not since P-Funk, have I heard such fun beats to dance to.

  • I love Dee-Lite's music! It's so uplifting.....Great messages..

  • THIS is the best deee-lite song.... in existence.

  • i went through 3 cassette tapes of this album.. amazing!!

  • This was the group.....too bad the split up so soon. Their music will give me the urge to dance. "Try me on" is still one of my all time favorites.

  • I loved Dee Lite back in the day couldn't dance enough to them....still sounds lovely :)

  • nice

  • i wore out my "World Clique" cassette back in the day lol.. luuuv this album!

  • @phonegalfitness me too!!! Wore out the cassette and then bought the CD a few years later.

  • I was 14 when this was released. 'Try Me On' was, and still is my fave track on this record. Maaan, I used to play this sooo loud. Wore my cassette out. This is some sophisticated FUNK way ahead of it's time. Thanks Deeelite for making me a funkier person in 1990. Peace.

  • @Yumoshrub Try the sixties! Most of the funksters of the eighties started it when THEY were young.

  • @Yumoshrub oh wooord, same here, this was my favorite track. i was 12 yrs old, bumping this on my walkman night and day, living in a small town in the high desert, and none of my friends were into this type of music. when i finally moved to LA and started going to underground house clubs in LA at age 16, i knew i finally found my tribe

  • @Yumoshrub I got news for you...Deee Lite wasn't what made you "funky" smelling.

  • @bobbaft Oh really?

  • @bobbaft It was the dancing for 10 hours straight, sweat mixed with the scent of leather, rubber & vinyl, cheap mixed drinks, opened glo-sticks poured on bare skin, someone gettin' a bit of "lovin'" right on the dance floor mixed with the scent of froot certs & sugary candy that made for the TRUE funk. Sigh, I want my summer of 1991 back.

  • @kerry5101971 and now all those chemicals from the glo-sticks are making your private areas glow as they treat the results with radiation! I want my hot tub time machine back so I can go back to 1991 too!

  • 1:35

  • So ahead of their time! Every other DJ that thinks they are doing something innovative with their sound has nothing on DL.

  • YES I was just listening to my old Cassette and thinking how great the mix was on them.

I can't help but think , maby the Black eyed peas have listend to this band a few times m HUMM?

  • Remeber coppin their CDs when they came out, World Clique, Infinity & Dewdrops. They r still De Groooovey. Thanks for posting!!!!

  • I LOVED this group...and definitely still listen to their stuff today. They had so many great songs, yet they're looked at as a one hit wonder here in the states. Shameful!

  • you are so on the ball about dee lites album being on fire...so sorry they didnt continue!

  • OOh, ya got me, you got me!! I don't know but I like it!!

  • a classic...good old 90's

  • This trio used to really groove, the bassline is so funky, this is simply a quality 90's dance track, without question!!

  • anyone who has been in the DJ profession, like me, appreciates true sampling, before the digital thing was a widespread phenomenon, this is good stuff.

  • I loved this album so much. Still do. I also love the fact that Towa Tei was a part of this album. He still puts out some amazing shit.

*also* thanks everyone for being so chill and non-agressive with comments! I dunno whatcha do, I dunno, I dunno....but I like it!

  • am i right in thinking that he did a track with kylie minogue ? ! ?!

  • they obly made a few videos BUMMER they should of made more!

  • man this is the essence of black music, jazz, funk, soul, added by some fresh air of electronic underground, genious

  • Maceo, Fred Wesley and Bootsy on this song. These guys knew who the real cats were. That's what makes this song rock the bass and horns.
