If you are a fan of roadside attractions, The Thing is a must-see. The Thing is a classic roadside attraction, combined with a huge giftshop and truckstop. I live in Phoenix with relatives in Bisbee, so I made the trip down and The Thing is a long way out in the desert by itself. In the bathroom, there's a lot of graffitti, and the funniest piece of graffiti says, "Good THING it only cost $1.00."
i dont know who would bring a child into this if they knew the twisted sort of thing this junk trail is , i find it to have a dark sadistic side to it and some thing unsettling about some one whom would showcase natzi and pain items and torture statues and articles in a remote location in the middle of the desert this is not for children or adult entertainment for that matter i am shocked that dairy queen would allow some thing of that ugly nature to be associated with the franchise
Wow! Wasn't the thing amazing! We were in AZ and saw the signs and just couldn't pass up a chance to see probably the worst tourist trap ever! Did you see the flashing jesus in the gift shop? It's hilarious, although my favorite part was the torture scene.

Yes! I have read about this in a couple books (which tell you what "The Thing" is) and now I have finally seen it.

I was pretty disappointed. I thought someone was gonna jump out and kill all of you like in a Rob Zombie movie.

If you consider paper mache to be a "mystery" than you could call The Thing a mystery....I guess.

yeah ours too! We litterally ran through the whole thing...just to stay away from death, and the trailer park dogs.
