  • This is sick. Where can i get hold of a copy? Couldn't find it on your website

    Want this so bad!

  • @YurtleTheTurtle - I renamed the track "In Love With A Dreamer". The link is in the description.

  • Comment removed

  • @TaurusBeats Don't get me wrong, Im all for supporting independent talent but i can't see why you would charge so much

  • @YurtleTheTurtle - $35 is for non-exclusive licensing (my part of the track only f it has samples). If you signed up on the site, you can download the MP3 for nothing.

  • @TaurusBeats Oh, wow... thats sweet. All your tunes are killer. Really hits some spiritual vibes.

  • @YurtleTheTurtle - Thanks! I'm in the process of redesigning the TaurusBeats website so registered members can download all the songs for free.

  • i have a question, i sample stuff but dont just want to have the sample and drums.

did you have to learn chords and stuff to get the pianos and violins to match the sample?

  • @TheGhettostylus - Great question! Yes, I am learning chords and music theory. Don't let that scare you. I was playing by ear before I even knew what that was. Check out Hear and Play Music for some help. But just really spend time learning to listen. I mean really listen. You will hear what sounds go with the sample you choose.

  • @TaurusBeats thanks for the fast reply and info i will give it a bash... i would like to get to the point where i can put my own touch on things rather than just sample and leave it at that...

thanks again and keep doing what you do :)

  • How do you get that clean piano?

  • @2011PootyTang - I use the NN-XT Advanced sampler device in Reason. The sounds are in the Reason Factory sound bank. I think it is Grand Piano A.

  • How do you set mpd32 Chanel to reason having hard time with that can you explain thanks.

  • Don't buy this guys beats... he doesn't deliver

    he's a scam artist

i paid for a beat and never got my beat

    he's a rip off artist

  • @youngice6004 - Did you read the instructions on the website after you made your purchase? If you had, you would have seen that you have to login to the website to download your purchase(s). Also, you can call or email me using the same amount of effort you used to post your false claims. Contact me and I will gladly return your money.

  • @TaurusBeats I did email you and you never replied. I don't want my money I want my damn beat.

  • This is cold!

  • amaaaaaazing... where in the world do you find such samples?? and amazing violin part

  • hot beat

  • Check out my vids bro. I use Reason 4 and Pro Tools

  • Hello ... Sorry but im a begginner ! I allready have a mpd26 and use reason 4 , how can I put my sample plays long time?? I want to listen the total sample before the chops and loops understand!? sorry my english too ...! congrats . Nice job!!!!

  • where do you get your kick and snare/clap sounds?

  • diggin that snare..is that a stock snare in reason?

  • @jay1Live1986 That's a stupid misconception. A good sampling takes alot of skills dude, and creativity.

  • plz go to my u tube account n check my video is one of my beats that i made in reason plz

  • I CULDNT REALLY ENJOY THE BEAT CUZ U KEPT TALKING SWEETIE NOT TO BE RUDE OR ANYTHING...:)

  • @jazmin8188 - I understand. Send me a PM and I'll send you the beat so you can enjoy it all you like without me talking over it! Grace and Peace!

  • @TaurusBeats IM SRRY BUT DNT TAKE IT THE WRONG WAY I LOVED HOW YOU PUT IT ALL TOGHETER SWEETIE...WAT IS A PM?

  • @jazmin8188 - No worries, I didn't take the wrong way. PM is short for "Private Message". Use the "Send Message" link on my profile page. Take care!

  • @TaurusBeats ok sweetie :) thank you for not taking it the wrong way cuz i didnt mean it like that swetie :)

  • THat beat is reall good my dude

  • A midi keyboard running through Reason can "act" as an MPC right?

Or is it better to just buy an actual MPC versus a keyboard?

  • @ShadowsHaveShadows1 yooo..i got both an MPC1000 and a MPD24 an i jus use my midi keyboard all the damn time lol..u can jus chop samples up with Recycle an open the rex files with the DrRex or the NNXT..its the exact same thing..i actually find it easier than the MPC.but some ppl jus like using the MPC..Love my MPC but ill take Reason an Recycle

  • @Stattis Thanks man, I'll probably just get a keyboard for now then. Any suggestions for one between the 75$ - 150$ range?

  • @ShadowsHaveShadows1 Keystudio M-Audio

  • yooo mannn can u sen me he link to dat place were i can downloads those samples

  • i got this new program that rivals reason and it's only $29.95 !! it's called dubturbo,it is a new beat making software... check out more information on it here youtube . com /watch?v=XizSpaPobNo

  • Yo your beats are great keep on makin them.

and imma buy the MPD 32 but do you need a soundcard to assign it ?

Thanks and i hope you'll respond

  • yo i dont like this beat i luv it lol sick keep up the good work

  • This beat kill yo.

  • Dope beat......

  • That beat is hot bro

  • this beat is raw!!!!!

  • Pure sick man

  • Yo that beat was fire, that was fly brother. I was loving the sounds, you did some good composing, I use frooty loops but i feel like when it comes to reason and pro tools, people get there hands on some really good samples and sound kits. Do you know where i can i get some really good samples and sound libraries?

  • ey man i got a problem.

When i play a sample, and the end of each part it wont stop, it gives a bit of echo sound. like it replys the last 2 sec of each sample part. On a other beat i sliced a sample in recycle found out that when preview toggle is on Stretch was on 20 so i put that on 0. No more echo at the end of a sample. But a next beat i put stretch on 0 still the echo sound is there. So i cant flow with the samples they wont end when i want..

  • i signed in just to give you your well-deserved props man. This is dope as shhhhh. Keep it up! I just got into beatmaking myself today and i can say youre a HUGE inspiration with this drop right here. I will be keeping up with you and your work bro. Once again, good job man.

  • hit up my page for some dank beats!!!!

    Sick beat by the way

  • That beat is sick!!!!

  • I like that beat. I just messed with this sample and it's super hot. I had trouble finding the sample on my midi controller but I found them. you inspired me to mess with sample songs now

  • When I load up my samples they all play at different speeds I only have a piano, do I need a pad so this will not happen?

  • nuff respect man!!

  • - im 17 and i've been using reason for about 6 months now and i love it . . samples likke this definetly motivate me to continue my craft . keep it up dude

  • Where do you get all of the clean instrumentals from? I have to always settle with included vocals

  • @rob12jr - I rarely listen to music with vocals anymore. I find great instrumental music in Wal-mart and Target (in the US), any department store with the multiple CD displays that you can preview by pushing a button.

  • great!!!

  • Hey fella. loving he sounds, sounds extremely fresh and dope man. Just a quick question, where can i get these chopped samples to autozone? I can't find them anywhere!

    Kind regards

    Bonz

  • @TheMrBonz - Not sure I understand your question? Are you asking me where to get chopped samples from? Or are you asking me how to get the NN-XT device to do the "autozone" function?

  • @TaurusBeats Just where the chopped samples are from! They sound really clean, i chop songs but can never make them sound right due to the samples having too much going on in them :) I've looked on future producers but can't find them anywhere :(

  • @TheMrBonz - Like I mentioned to rob12jr, I find great instrumental music in Wal-mart and Target (in the US) in those "CD preview" type displays. You can find some here on YouTube with a decent quality to sample from. Sounds like you're trying to figure out WHERE to chop (make your slices). PM me for help on this.

  • That sample(smh).............. IS CRAAAACK!!

  • I want to be as good as you bro so please don't be scared of sending me TIPS man especially on sound quality and making beats

  • like the beat man.. but i have a problem, first off i'd like to tell you i'm completely new. i just bought the mpd32 and downloaded Reason.. but Reason won't recognize my mpd32. any ideas? thanks so much

  • @centnertime - You say you downloaded Reason. Is it version 4.01? That's the version that has the MPD32 in the "Keyboards and Control Surfaces". Send me a private message.

  • just 1 word...AMAZING!

  • hey im luvin this beat!!

  • where'd you get that snare?

  • Hey great work brother...one thing that i wanted to know is how do you match the tempo of your song with the sample...breaking my head on this one...when i change the tempo the sample either slows down or becomes faster...loosing track of the tempo...please help.

  • First off dat beat is sooo effin ridiculous!!! You seem to be a real cool, humble type of dude. The industry needs more cats like you. I was wondering if you could help me to place muliple sample chops the way you did in the nn-xt then assign them to the pads on my 2000xl. Thanx in advance. I'm goin to chech your website right now for more inspiration.

  • Foolie Beat!! Inspiring....luved it bro'

  • Foolie Beat!! Inspiring....luved it bro'

  • hey tarus like the beat ... would be great if u could let me know a patch name on the those lovely chimes.. and what device theyre found in .. in reason.. Thankyou!

  • THE ENTIRE TRACK IS OUTSTANDING! The introduction is a MASTERPIECE, its got me sold!

    wonderful job!

  • hey, do you make your own refills/ if so, how can i make a refill of a piano sound from a Yamaha psr 550? i've trie many methods and forums, cant get it rite! do i sample one note? or multiple root notes? i use recycle reason pro tools record. and, fruity loops! peace

  • Big up Taurus this is a perfect piece of work

  • I need to download this song.. Like seriously..

  • How do you find the right tempo? Reason don t have time strech...How do you do that?

  • hey man I feel you on this showing luv from DC. I m using reason now have been for a year before you load up a sample and get busy is it all about the quality of the sample. Right now im recording into audacity by way of using youtube then i dump it into recycle do you know of a better way of recording quality samples or songs also do you think chopping is very important. thats where im having a problem using a axiom 25 and mpd24 with reason 4 . Much luv from uptown georgia ave. Please help

  • wpc45: When I produce my sample-based tracks, I do look for the highest quality song to sample from. This really helps in the final mix. Your way of recording is okay, but not optimal. You have to make sure that your system and process is setup to give you the best quality recording.

I'm convinced that the way you chop a sample is very important because it impacts the feel and how you use the samples in your track. PM me for more info.

    Grace and Peace!

  • Hello.. How to asign each sample slice into different pads???

  • JUST amazing !! Fresh sound !! Big Up Man !! Peace

  • nice vid love reason 4 peace

  • whats the sample name?

  • jus wondering...how do i get the record frum my turn table into reason...do i need a mpc? or can i jus transfer it from the trurntable?

  • Moyerman10132: You have to hookup your turntable to the audio card of your PC and use recording software like Audacity or Sound Forge to record from the turntable. The MPC is just an extension of Reason. It doesn't record.

  • @Moyerman10132 wow im srry im late...thanks bra

  • dope track bra...keep goin hard...i use reason myself...by far my fav

  • 10/10

  • many thanks very helpful video !! Big Up !Peace

  • Hi there, hey the beat was awesome

and could u please help me,

i also use reason 4 and i dont know what sound card should i buy for a good quality, could u give me an advise please

  • Yo my man I like your style of beat. I just got in to making beats myself. I have the mpd24. Don't know how to use it yet like you do. So I will be asking you for help from time to time. I also work with reason 4 too. So feel free to hit me up any time with some new Info. that you learn about the Mpd or reason. Thanks and doing it for the Lord is the best reason of all. Bless You!!!!!!

  • you r one of the best out of those many thow...!!

  • question how you load the sample tracks to the nnxt i'm having trouble with it i try to sample it off of pro tools and when i try to load it into reason it won't appear what am i doing wrong?

  • Just adjust the pitch on the piano. Adjusting the pitch different from note, to note will get it more smooth and so it will blend in with the song :)! Fucking Loooove this song. I'm thinking about making a sample beat of it my self. Much love to you bro:)

  • good beat 5 stars for you from spain pazz

  • the piano is stiff. if you end up keeping it you need to fix the velocities, and mix it right. decent track though.

  • Props bro good shitz with Berry White.

  • Berry is a fruit. Barry is a person.

  • i added this to my favorites yo dis is so hot

  • Sample is used in the intro to only built for cuban linx Pt. 2

  • Barry White - cant get enough amazing sample i had also sample it

  • hey how do you assign the pads from the mpd to trigger the samples n how do you load up the samples?

  • if u can make a video on how u get the sample music in to Reason 4 thanks

  • i dont get the timestretching in reason 4.0 man! How do you do that man?

    Love your music man!!

    Onelove

  • time stretching in reason? lol no thanks.

cubase 4 has a dope free warp.

  • I dont get it ?

  • That beat is hot sound like some mobb deep. I do have a Question? I have reason 4.0. I also have a m-audio oxygen keyboard and a mpd24, also a record player with a usb numark. Do I have to buy recycle. So I could sample from the record player

  • fortgreeneprojects1: No, you don't have to buy ReCycle. You can download the free AUDACITY wav editor to record from the record player. ReCycle is used more for chopping/slicing samples and saving them in .RX2 format.

  • Good work bro. Never tried Sampling so much. But when you slice a beat.. Are there any videos about slicing beats and samples and such so it sounds smooth? So you don't actually hear that it's sliced ?

  • 2pac4e: There are many vids out here that show how to chop samples. Have you tried searching "chop sample tutorial"? If no luck, PM me and I set you up.

  • Excellent Beat/Tutorial

  • dis shit is so fucking raw big ups.and dump da hatas

  • Good work there! Keep on ;)

  • Dis beat is big

  • hey what sample did you use?? i loooooove the beat by the way

  • which sample did you use whats the name of that original song?

  • good work very nice beat but is it better to increase the release time a lil bit on the nnxt so that your blend could be more smoother?

  • huntspoint20: Whether something is "better" in this case depends on you, fam. I like the rough/raw sound, but you can definitely experiment with the release to get things how you like. Grace and Peace!

  • good work

  • how do uu get beatcreator?

  • murda118: Sorry, fam. BeatCreator doesn't seem to be available anymore.

  • do u mind give me the info or setting a video of how u asigned more then one sample to one sampler. how did u assign one sample to one note anotherwards.

  • nuttnspecial: PM me and 'll help you get it.

  • below the c sample ..i cant get the beat slices...it appears as one file....how do i save as to get all separate slices in teason nnt advanced..it works just fine with dr rex...any help

  • DippySippy: PM me and I'll help you with this.

  • thanks for the offer iv magaged to sort it out now

  • Comment removed

  • wow, thats such a great beautiful song, i wish i could do that, i just cant seem to find instruments that sound good, i've been trying too much samples, and they all suck T_T, im trying to make techno-ambient-pop music or something like that, do you know where i could find something like that?? thanks for the video is awsome what you can do

  • thats a tight as sample

  • U got a new fan out here in dallas, brother. I read in another post that u were studying the ministry, well God truly has blessed u, i will continue to pray for you in all your endeavors, brother. U are right, we r in this together. Peace and Love.

  • wow finally a person who uses the sampler in reason and understand it. hey i was just wondering how do you place samples in the zones you want and how do you trigger them with the pads (btw i use a axiom 25)

  • puggmysta: You can use several different techniques to get load the slices in the zones. PM me and I'll help you.

  • hey taurus i was thinking about either buying an akai MPK49 or the Akai mpd 32 and the m-audio keyboard liek u have..i think the little keyboard and the mpd will be easier for me to transport but my question is do u run into any problems running both the mpd and keybaord at the same time..thanx keep up the good work

  • RedEyeBoyz1: I have no problems at all running both the MPD and the Oxygen 8 v2 at the same time.

  • oh shit bruh.....u are my new number 1

  • Much love for hollering at us for showing our love

  • awesome vid man.

im looking for some Archipelago samples. whats the best site to get some?

  • I have no idea how to use reason...this is sick

  • damn that shit was BLAZIN

  • where did you find those chimes used in the turnarounds?

  • Windchimes from the Orkester Sound Bank

  • nice thing man, always liked Barry White, and that sample is taken from Mellow Mood Pt. 1 if anyone's interested. tell me one thing, when you chop samples, any samples, do you chop'em in equal parts, like let's say 0,5s each for example or they got different length? and when you chop them, do you do it manually or is there some program that would chop it automatically in equal parts. i do it manually usually, but i wonder how do you do it.

  • Thanks for the sample ID. I got it from FP, but the info wasn't provided.

Most of the time, I chop my samples evenly ("on the 1" - emphasizing the downbeat). But sometimes I will chop unevenly based on how an instrument plays within a measure.

I chop manually. I recently started using Recycle, but I still chop manually because I don't like the autoslice feature.

  • dope my boy chopped this same sample up in acid but this is more orchestrated

  • can i get these chops?

if you could send them to me it would be perfect.

  • I'm from the old school and the MPC was my thing. I am familiar with reason somewhat. Been using 3.0 for a year ...that was when it first came out. A little rusty, but I'm ready to learn and get my groove back on.

Now with that said ....you mapped the pads on the MP to NNXT? Please explain....

    Keep up the sick work.

  • What I do is make my chops and then import the chops in to the lower half of the NNXT. I find all of the slices and select and import them all at once. Then, in NNXT, I right click (PC) and select the "Automap Zones Chromatically" option. Then, I set Polyphony to 1 and Amp Release to the maximum (all the way up).

  • nice beat.

what did you use for the piano loop and drum and claps. is it using the mpd32 too?

  • I'm actually playing the piano myself using my M-AUDIO Oxygen 8 v2. I improvise as I go, building the piano parts by overdubbing. I'm not a pianist. I just play what I feel from the track, by ear. If I like it, I keep it. I did all of the drums and claps with the MPD.

  • hi T nice work... do you have any mc,s for your stuff... id like to hear lyrics on that track...maybe to flip it ,id recomend my cuz (pizzle the great) check out his myspace.. grimy and american mixed.. .j

  • Dope shit :) keep up the good work !!!

  • Whats the sample or did you sample your own beat?

  • Great dude ;) Love & Peace back

    Great Music ;)

  • hey man nice works

sry my english is bullshit :P i live in switzerland and i have a mpd 32 too and reason 4 but i dont knoew how i configurat the mpd 32 whit reason the most buttons dosent funct.

in reason 4 I must always press on the PAD with the finger that at all music ring out!! must u too ?

  • I'm not sure I understand you, but it sounds like you are talking about "Release". Try setting the "Amp Release" in the Reason device to the maximum. This should allow you to trigger the entire sample just by tapping the pad rather than holding it down. Also, set the "Polyphony" setting on the Reason device to "1" so that the sound from the first pad stops when you hit the next pad.

  • Good day Fam,

I've been bangin beats for a while, but since married I lost my flow on how I USE to sample. Now I'm at a loss of how to get back to my groove. I need the inspiration again cause I'm itching to make music again. I don't know what to sample anymore or how to construct the beat intro, verse dadadad! Pass me some artist names that are good to sample cause I've used up to no evail. Hit me back PROPHACY!

  • ay man.. nice beat.. i had a question.. maybe this didnt happen to u but when i sample wit recycle an run it into the nnxt an i hit the sample.. i get some reverb.. u have this? any way to get rid of that?

  • Interesting...Without seeing your reason rack, I can't be sure what the problem is. You might want to check things starting with the original sample and then check the devices starting with Recycle, the NNXT and then the Mixer, looking for places where reverb can be introduced. Send me a private message.

  • thats was sick man keep it up

  • wow! beat is dope...

    sounds kinda pharrell status..

  • keep it up, man!

  • its a shame youtube compresses so much, makes listening to this very anoying. I can imagine it sounds good without the compression. It's funny how someone else handed a sample pack and it sounds exactly like the samples you use in the other beats on youtube.

  • fl studio is way more efefctive then reason, like reason, check out swiff d on fl,

anyways its a pretty cool beat ,prett ybasic but still cool,,i would say get an mpc or betetr software, unless you still learning!all reason users i know have something in common, thats not really original, anyways do ya thng

  • "youstolemystyle" ur whack! FL studio has its gains, Reason has its gains and both programs have its negatives too. Neway Dont hate. This man taurus makes classics. I'm a MPC whore myself and I'm starting to believe Virtual Studios is the way to go now adays. Taurus I being waiting for a new vid man lol BE SAFE.

  • i whanted to ask if you sale your beats

  • hey man nice beat. But i got a question. I'm a big fan of hip-hop, and I enjoy writing and freestyling and have been doing it for a bit now, but I want to see if I can enjoy the other part of the music as well. Do you know of any programs on the computer or somthing of the sort that don't cost much (or are free) that I can use to see if I like producing beats?

  • Get the FLStudio demo from Image-line. I use Reason 4, but it's $499.

  • Yooo hot doggie forreal keep that shit up

  • such inspiration MANNN

  • omfg fuckin fire, thats some weed smokin cruisin music right there mane

  • this shit was really useful. hook up some more reason tutorials

  • Nice work and tutorial Taurus, this was a fun challenge on FP. Looking forward to the next one.

  • A very nice jazzy joint! I don't think you'll have a problem being a contender in the contest bruh! Nice drums, heavy riding bassline, & those melodies, it's all good! Stay up!

  • Nice beat.

Do you always are sampling on nn-xt?

I am using reason and always do that with dr.rex-i think i will try to make something with nn-xt.

And yeah FP are great place.

  • I use both - NNXT and Dr Rex - for samples. I use Dr. Rex when I want the samples to match the tempo of the song/beat I'm making. I use the NNXT when I want more control over each individual sample.
