And as a side-note, this video is pure comedy for various reasons: 1. Oprah's fake, dramatic facial expressions. 2. The women in the audience thinking Luther's singing is dedicated to them. 3. This one is the icing on the cake 0:47. What makes it even more comical is that my mom actually used to have similar eyeglasses.
I agree. Oprah seemed to be faking a bit for the camera. She must have been imaging a jelly filled doughnut in order to make those goofy faces... Fat Oprah was soooo much better...
@Vergadoce thanks for saying it the way it is! He did not even get a worthy tribute when he died because people were afraid of the truth! Sick sad world...He was a legend!
OMFG,, I have never seen this b4,, I think i would have........... well.... um.. Good lord, I cant speak.....um..if iwas in the aud...... still cant speak... OMG I LOVE LUTHER VANDROSS. RIP my private lover in my dreams...
Its interesting to see Luther's interaction with his female fans... it was like a big game, they loved his music and he embraced his core audience. Sure many women would've wanted a chance but i'm sure they all respected him and knew he was just having fun, playing for them. He didn't try to take em' home, you know seduce them. He just understood them, appreciated them. Women felt the same way about him.
what can i say he not only had a classic name but his voice was sensual and heartfelt soul , its such a gr8 shame that he never had kids or lived long enough to produce more songs 2 the world . i wish i had been given the opportunity to meet him n perhaps sung a duet together . luther bless u and i hope u are singing with the angels in heaven .
i can't help but laugh at all those women in the audience. hahha Loooove this song by the way.. This is definitely going to be my wedding song.. RIP Luther..
That don't make no sense, trey wrong songz and all these other r n b tryers could never get a response like this, just sitting down and crooning! Oh, my bad, they need to sit down and you are not gonna get any crooning! Thanks for posting this, miss Luther and his class and nobody could sang like him! Peace!
He is a bit out of key here .. still nice tho :)

Luther had a voice sent from heaven. Its so good ive not found a word to describe it.A total one off

Kind of ironic.. because It would be hard to be faithful with a voice that could get any woman.

This song was played at my mom's wedding reception. I was only around 4 at the time and I was hooked on it from that moment after.
