What do you do your dolly shots on? Do you use a skateboard or do you have a couple little rails with a platform or something? The shots add just that extra flow that, coupled with the DOF, make your vids really pleasant to watch. Dropped SKB and subbed you because SKB has all the 'sponsored by' crap now and you just plain shoot/edit/review better! Cheers!

Have you experienced screen burn in yet? Seeing as how theres so much blue in ICS. I love Super AMOLED (I have a Galaxy Tab 7.7) but I've got a tad of screen burn-in and thats probably the only negative. :( Just get a grey image or something and you should be able to tell.

@marquesbrownlee there were lots of concern aired about the pentile nature of the display back in october when samsung announced the specs, and recently even leo laporte has poo-pooed the poor quality of text on the phone due to this savings in color pixels. did you notice anything particularly bad about the text e.g. ragged edges etc.? I ask because I'll be using my next phone a lot as an e-reader.

@avocadomilk2010 I've been using HTC Desire for some time, which has a PenTile display and I wasn't amused at the beginning. But then I saw equivalent Desire with LCD screen and I must admit that despite the ulgy moire on white and light areas, I like my screen better due to pitchblack blacks and, well, more sharp texts. Yup. It's probably because PenTile uses subpixel rendering or maybe because somehow it can display angled lines better than normal LCD screen. I don't know.

@marquesbrownlee I tend to look too far into the near future xD (if that makes any sense) and HTC plans to use the new quad core 2.5Ghz processor in their phones later this year. To me, 1.2Ghz just seems to far below that, but I know I am wrong to think so.

You missed the fact that AMOLED based screens tend to degrade on blue hues first and if used extensively, the display becomes bloched with ghosting images (like those on old ATMs), something called Burn-In which cannot be fixed. So use blacks as much as you can and also use the device as little as possible if you don't want to end with a bad screen in less than 6 months or so. Please Google this information before you respond to this message. Resale value goes down the drain.

@rayanmx Yeah thanks for the tip. I realize AMOLED displays can have this problem, but I don't think it's so harsh. I've owned an AMOLED device for years without burn-in becoming a problem.

@marquesbrownlee My friend at work got it (he really wanted it and payed retail for it) He says the pixel density is amazing, but the battery life is a little depressing. He wants to get a ultra low voltage kernel for it so he can get better battery life for it. That seems like worth looking into. I am due for an upgrade in May, so I wonder if they will make anything new thats worth looking into. PS do you have 4g near you? Im in east jesus nowhere, so i dont.

Still, not perfect. For me, the perfect phone would be:

1. 4" Super Amoled+ Retina 1080p curved gorilla glass displayed

2. Aluminum unibody teardrop design. No plastic on the whole device. Aluminum forms a lip so the screen doesn't touch the table or ground, preventing cracking

3. 14MP 1080p camera with a interchangeable lens system

4. Windows Phone 7.5 but multitasking cards on the homescreen instead of in a separate menu, like webOS, and the app store of iOS, with open source store too

I'd like to see an AMOLED display on high ppi displays like on the iPhone 4/4S. It's something that always kind of bugged me about the device. A minor gripe, since the pixel density on the 4/4S display really makes for quite a great image. However, it'd be nice to see black areas really be black; if not for the battery, then image accuracy alone.

I'd really love to get my hands on a Galaxy Nexus just to tinker with.

@rikomenzies Yeah, the 4S screen is disappointing. Colors aren/t nearly as vibrant as the 4, and the blacks aren't as black, and the whites aren't as white. I'm happy with my 4.

@ThoseTechGuys As I recall, the iPhone 4 and the 4S have the exact same display. The only hardware changes are the camera, processor, and antenna band. Everything else is the same.

@rikomenzies actually, they're quite different. Apple switched manufacturers, which completely changed the display. 4S display isn't nearly as vibrant, and it's blacks aren't as black.

Could you maybe do a highlight on the camera and show some pictures and videos taken with it? Because I know you mentioned in one of your previous videos that it was a descent camera for movies and then it was just okay for pictures... I was just wondering how it holds up on everyday use for all those times that you need to have a camera with you for that one shot you just can't miss.

my Epic 4G touch (GSII) looks better I went to get it on Friday and it just wasn't as smooth as my s2 and my screen was much brighter and had much richer colors I just don't understand what they did I don't give a shit about resolution if it isn't as vibrant as the technology that came before it...
