i catch a few bass every hour using a complete different strategy. LOL i jig it let it sink a bit, reel some slack, jerk it again harder, and BAM, fish
you need to relearn your tactics before you begin to teach them. If u do like fishing worms try using braided line and a medium heavy rod from 6' to 7'6". more sensitivity and when you pop your rig off the bottom you can have more driving power when you go to do a hookset. with braid theres no guessing if theres weight at the bottom of your line.
@WordOfTheDayguy oh believe me.. if you switch to a braided line.. recommending on a spinning outfit 20 lbs test you will feel much more then this guy is trying to explain. if you pop your jig up off the bottom then you will be able to feel anything that jig hits. with braided line i would tie on a flourocarbon leader 15 lbs thats about 3-5 ft. flouro has limted stretch if any. virtually invisible under water when tied to your rig. you will be able to feel the lightest hits with braid
Good guide! perfect location were is it?

@Chad002002 i didn't know that, so if you use braided line theres no way of knowing if theres weight at the bottom?
