I saw Jim Carrey do stand up at the Comedy Store in San Diego before In Living Color was on. He wasn't the headliner, but was the highlight of the night. I remember him doing this very impersonation. Even then it was clear that he was a stand out from the usual comics.

Jim's version, it was on some special on HBO or Cinemax in the 80's, he wasn't even that well known yet, I was taping some stuff and thought he was funny so I taped it, as soon as I find it I'll try to post it, I don't know what kind of condition it's in because it's on my Beta.
