jani liimatainen 4ever!! he has a great voice ...!! i would like that he returns to sonata but... if he doesnt want... well... we'll support him anyway!!
Es la corteza de un arbol o la hoja de un arbol propio de Findlandia donde los novios tendien a conocerce o acabar con sus relaciones amorosas, En realidad es conocido como el arbol del corazon o quizas el corazon del arbol, ahi esta mi duda,Para mi Jani usa Sydanpuu como Arbol del Corazon
i Think this song is beautiful, Why cant this band sing something in english,? i think it's would be great!, Jani sings good, and play good too, but is this jani,s real style?, i think he do better for Sonata, With heavy Guitar riff And solos, anyway Jani rooooooles
I hope that I'm not going to disappoint you, but originally "sydänyö" means "midnight". You don't hear it very often nowadays, so maybe the younger ones understand it more litterally. My english is not so good, but as far as I understand, your translation is very nice overall.
BTW. "yösydännä" "in / at the dead of night" (hardly any younger finns speak like "yösydännä...")
Well, I was thinking that even though the meaning is the same, "keskiyö" is literally "midnight" while "sydänyö" is more poetic at least in more modern finnish.
nice job my friend nice job

Tuomas Holpainen says he writes songs in english coz Finnish sounds too corny really quickly, but from this Id have to disagree with him. Jani :)

Oh, and "Sydänyö" would be more like "Heart of the Night" (not "Midnight", though)

A few (really small) errors:
"praying" should be "I pray" ("rukoillen" would be "praying" in this context, but it's "rukoilen", right?)
"your wings" should be "the wings"
Also, it's literally something like "Wishes are forgotten in the night, (and they) cover with a mourning-veil"...
Beautiful song :)
