cool machine, i operated one with extended tracks. had a hood and a dozer. cleared bush. onetime i nailed 3 poplar trees in a clump.stopped me. tracks spinning engine roaring.had to backup twice before they went down. safety tip, watch how u backup in a bush. trees will creep in from the back. not good. lol!
This was the last of the TD 18 series and was called a 182. Had diff steer and a different mill to the TD18a and was the precurser to the TD20 to my knowledge.
One still working on a Central West NSW farm My family had one tank sinking and they were good to operate as a mid size tractor I have some footage of it working and will see if I can it up and running on line soon
If by mill you refer to engine, the 18, 18A, 18A-181,18A-182, TD20-200 and TD20-201all have the same D691 engine. RPM did climb over the years. I presently have a 18, 18A, and 182. The boosted steering levers on the is hard to pass up. Would like to see your footage!
Got it in one. This was taken some years back and I think the crawler has been retired. Certainly I haven't seen it working this ground for some years. I believe this property has been sold since so I doubt I'll get a repeat performance. I would've liked to get footage of it starting on petrol and then changing over to diesel, but didn't have the camera that day. Always the way. Glad you liked the show.
