  • well i dont think that turbo is bigger than a 60trim with that cheap ass set up that they have. and they tuned it with chrome lol at 4 psi.. beating a K series and a Srt-4. comn dude get hondata make more hp and ur car will run better and last longer. i think that K was a the slowest K motor and that Srt-4 was prob stock too. a Stage 3 srt-4 will walk that lil hack like nothing. same with a good tuned K series motor.

  • If you get a intake manifold from a 99 d16y8 and port the intake part and the front wholes you would gain like 30hp because you get more combustion from the chamber in the intake manifold and i am talking about air combustion ( air pressure )

  • c cool mek un d16 turbo. lache pas , j'ai un projet presque identique qui dort malheureusement dans le garage. d16y7 vitara piston , eagle rods. pour ma part je trouve qui a plus de merite a crinké un moteur qui marche pas pour qui marche en fou que de prendre un moteur qui marche pi juste le descendre dans le hood.

  • WHAT ??? are you handicapped ? a d-series will NEVER produce the kind of numbers that a b-series will. B-series flows 10x better, has less mechanical friction loss, and the blocks are stronger.

  • I believe you're the one who can't read nimrod! A TURBO D CAN MAKE MORE POWER THAN ANY NATURALLY ASPIRATED B SERIES, PERIOD. JESUS, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out! You start boosting a B motor, now THATS a different story. There are sohc D16's pushing 500 horses on the dyno, show me ONE n/a B series or even a K series doing that. Get my point? If you've got money to build a B or K, esp with a boost setup, than by all means go for it. D series is a poor man motor.

  • As long as you have the si tranny D isnt bad for boost. If you arent looking for crazy power goals on pump, then they are fun and quite economical. But I would never build one, b-series is just so much better in so many ways for me to justify building up a D.

  • WHAT!? Mike, give me a break! I'm a Honda/Acura man, and the reason I am doing a turbo D16 is for two reasons. First and most important, I need a project on a budget. D is a great motor for a budget. Second, sadly enough I can turbo my D to about 12 psi and take any n/a B out there... seriously, I plan on running a daily driven 12 lb setup on a built bottom end to eat B series, all for less than what a B swap and tranny cost me. Is that enough justification for ya!?
