they put the pet items and pet food only one aisle away from the frozen section and jammed next to the infant and toddler items such as baby food and clothing, an entire aisle of toys and confectionery, then the chip and salsa aisle all at near eye level with a 3-5 year old child who will scream and pester the parent for until they get that junk food or toy, called pester power.
folks leave the kids at home when you shop, you stand a better chance of sticking your shopping list that way.
Props to Kroger-- At my local Frys there IS a little end cap cold case that is nothing but milk and eggs mini display right at the front door for the convenience of it's customers.
Its is the psychology of human behavior and customer mind freak techniques which are usually used by all major players not just at the Supermarkets but also at many Mall, Electronics Store and Shopping Centers.
Even when i tried to make my move i had spent almost 60-70 more in the Supermarket at Wal-mart.
So i will just say, what he is talking about is really true and we should try this if u have TIME.
even i figured out the same thing in all the Wal-mart, Target and Hy-Vee 's that important food like egg, juice, milk, Yogurt and many more items are located at the most back side or at the place where u have to move so long and u passes so many food courts , so u cant resist ur self to stop at that place.
Grow your own-whatever you can. In the city, even a studio apt.-u can have a pot of herbs, or cherry tomatoes on the fire escape, a flat of lettuce on the condo patio. Sprouting is easy--live enzyme food in winter! Join a community garden.Buy organic whenever u can. "Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants." Michael Pollan. Many videos from TED Talks. See: End of Surburbia & Michael Reynolds on here. Read his books--all at the library. Also, "Cool Cuisine" & "Food Not Lawns" very good.
He's somewhat right. Keep in mind that JUST because you're staying in the produce section doesn't mean you are eating ORGANIC produce. You definitely shouldn't eat processed foods but there are also genetically modified plants, such as: tomatoes, CORN, strawberries, tomatoes, bell peppers, etc... You have to buy ORGANIC people. Produce that's guaranteed natural. Whole Foods or a local market. Which means YES during winter time you won't be able to get a yam or a fruit/veg. That doesn't naturall
So true! i work in a supermarket and we're all aware of what products we're supposed to pimp etc. i generally just shop around the outside too and then get whatever canned fruit/vege i need from that aisle
@ZadreanalineZ So one way to navigate the food market if you're concerned about your health and you're trying to avoid eating a lot of junk is, try to shop along the edges. Try not to go into the middle. Or go into the middle as little as possible and you'll do a lot better.
There's just as much junk around the edges as there are in the middle. I'll just give up on those stores and shop at health food stores even though it takes me an hour to get there vs the 10 minutes it takes to got to a regular store.
It's well worth it so stay healthy. You notice at Walmark the deli is in the front/edge of the store (which is full of mac and cheese and potato salad) before you get to the vegetables and fruits.
The number of beats in the music?! Not at Bashas, Safeway, or anywhere else I shop. Ridiculous. I agree with where the Milk is placed, and most everything else though.

I'd say he's overthinking it, but every supermarket I've been in from town to town has had the milk at the back.

This looks like an interesting video. Will subtitles be added? I'd love to know what was said.
