  • You know your shit!

  • Oragato Sensai

  • sifu what is your name? i wanna be your student....

  • I have a question for this teacher..would you use these techinques in a actual street fight..please be honest.

  • @pv0858 well this man who pwns in this movie watch?v=AeMxheFFFd0 use tai chi

  • why is tai chi so slow

  • @guitar12341000 Because it is a gentle energy inside us... =)

  • is all about the flow of energy like kavatron said

  • amazing dude!

  • can't stop watching , he's so well-balanced

  • Keep up the GREAT work! =)

  • OMFG You are so amazing OMFG, If we met on the street plz show me some mercy

  • He makes misstakes. He leans to much forward with his uper body. And also, Bruch knee is never trained or done as a pocke! Its always a puch or palm strike.

  • it can be a poke, punch, palm strike, 1 finger strike, elbow, etc. I think he is just hiving an example. In Tai chi, u do lean because your body needs to be soft to redirect force.

  • the applications are varied and unlimited. Also the forms are just approximations. In actual combat there might be different circumstances. Plus, each style and even teacher teaches the forms slightly differently.

  • but he is a great instructor none the less

    firm but gentle

    like tai chi

  • doesnt matter what goes with brushes knee. as long as its effective in the end.

  • I cant see why you cant use a poke. Also in some styles of tai chi it is ok to incline the body if in straight line with leg. As long as you dont overeach and thats what i think you are implying here.

  • Nice try, seems the usual mistake when we try and apply an external mastery to what is an internal form. Most of taijiis hidden so we need to be told and it is hard to work out from the postures as they can be misleading. I bet he is a good fighter, he does say it is his opinion and not something that he has been told. good post thanks

  • wasn't being personal just making a comment if can't accept comments then dont broadcast

  • the guy on left is not following instructions his weight is forward when being tld to sit back .... look how he lands after front leg kick his body weight falls down rather than placed down with control.

  • umm, it's probably really early in the morning, since they're at cali. st. university, he probably was up all night doing homework, so unless you're the grand master of all martial arts, give him a break.

  • the one whos wearing black shirt (the student) wears jeans....kinda hard to kick high with jeans dont ya think?

  • i salute u... and imbrd are u a pro....if u are i also wanna learn from u :)

  • dude that is totally straight up wrong- aint taiji at all. the guys are playing patty-cake here. u don't see proper differentiation of yin and yang and u arent supposed to lean back like that ever- horrible teacher.

  • then you cant put a video and show how to do the right thing right? cause i have been training matrial arts 14 years now, and this sifu knows how to teach.... pleased to hear from you, have a good day

  • i agree he has a lot of incorrect posture but then there r so many different styles it may work for him. these vids r good to get a rough idea of the martial applications of tai chi but will get beginners in2 bad habits. he doesnt stand like he is being hung by the crown of the head.

  • see below comment. Leaning back is plain wrong & its not just som style flaw- it conflict with almost every taiji principle & isnt good for back.

  • this is a taiji brushing knee. i see what you're saying with his back. but you gotto understand he isn't a taiji expert

  • well if he is not a taiji expert or that is to say high level, then what the hell is he doing trying to teach taiji here? And its not just the back- the relation between the hands & body is very stiff. Its 'brush knee twist step' not 'lean back stiff arm'. u should be able to see slight difference as hand store energy & hand release energy- here it stiff

u r supposed to brush knee here- as in being able to brush knee by bendin waist. Though in aplication u wont really use such a big posture.

  • yeah you're wrong in just about everything you said imbrd, the yin is soft energy, which redirects the opponent's strike with the 'brushing knee' motion, and the yang is the push, the aggressive energy used to repel the attacker, these are meant to be short videos, don't expect them to go into an entire discussion of Taoism.

  • forget talking about taoism, he neglects the very fundamentals of taiji. all u c is arm movement no full body integration. for this 'left brush knee', even the left hand appears very unnaturaly bent- & u can tell hes bending his back not his waist. Right hand is flat out arm movement- theres no real body energy just mostly brute force

  • actually- study chen zhonghua - u cant put this fundamental flaw as some stylistic change.

  • I subscribed cause of these videos very cool!

  • you are such a great teacher at least so it seems on your videos!
