One of the best dilla beats. He chopped da fuck out of that diana ross sample! The hook almost make me wanna cry when i hear it! As i open up my eyes and finally see the world i discover victory, and the sun is in my face! I love dat shit!

@HuggumsMcgehee And why does everyone keep saying it's on Jay Love Japan? I have that album. It's not on there. Unless it was on an earlier or later release. Either way, it's not on iTunes.
Don't get me wrong. Blu did great on this. But it is impossible to kill a J Dilla beat. Those aren't chops you hear. That's the beat killing and reviving itself in rapid sucession.
- The version with Blu & Miguel was a song off of Blu's mixtape (The CORE).
- At the end of the Blu & Miguel version of Sun In My Face, Blu gives his respects to J Dilla so I guess he just used J Dilla's instrumental for his mixtape.
- Not sure on the bootleg Jay Love Japan tracklisting rumors though.
- Original time of the song off of 'The CORE Mixtape' is like 3:38 or near that.
@HotSizzlenSauce Have you ever read comments on his videos? Half of his songs (including this one) are impossible to find to buy. Yet alone download for free. Would Blu rather have us NOT listen to his music simply because nobody can find a place to buy it?
@s0c0t0t0 Yeah, I'm really curious what album this is on. I know it's on Blu's CORE mixtape, and he added an outro talking about how much he appreciated Dilla's influence. But this would have to be on a Dilla album, right?
It's crazy how when I first hear some of Jay Dee's beats, at first I'm only thinking "It's not bad". Then 30 secs in my head is noddin hard as fuck and I'm lost in the song.
Couldn't agree more. With some artists and producers, you have to listen to their songs a few times to begin feeling it. With Dilla, his beats grow on you...within seconds.
its impulse, im from the carolinas n i spit. its that simple lol. drop by a niggas channel n gimme some feedback, im tryna get better n yall can help me do tht!! Subscribe if you like! n also,i remixed Blu's song Amnesia so checkk tht out! one love.

@nissan300zxkid From an artist point of view that is not a compliment cauz people make music to be heard everywhere regardless whether its underground or mainstream. You should actually be happy that mainstream folks are starting to listen to this kind of music.
@tondamac well actually i heard it playing and what i realized.. afterwards was that someone had it on a cd,,
but yeah for ur info.. i dont really no any mainstream ppl tht would listen to this
because OBVIOUSLY if they did they wouldnt listen to the b.s. on the radio so yeah..... and they are not starting to listen to this LMFAO WTF R U TALKING ABOUT?? UNLESS UR THE MAINSTREAM HEAD. hahha
@nissan300zxkid hey i know a lot of people who listen to mainstream artists like Luda, Lupe and Em but also still bump Blu. I just usually dont like it when underground fans say this kind of music should not be in the mainstream cauz that is like trying to confine someones music to just one specific audience.Plus c'mon not all mainstream artists are garbage take Nas or Common for example they are mainstream but still good and you can tell they influenced cats like BLU.
@tondamac well thats weird cuz when u put mainstream into it haha blu doesnt even like mainstream obviously, according to lil wayne he def doesnt like. lmao... and about the Nas thing i dont really kno u kinda cant put them in the predicament because nas has changed and isnt the same anymore.... colliding with mainstream artists his music lost its touched, he kinda lost his touch and for common, he really lost it saying kanye is the next dj premier, lol seriously?? nah nah.. i keep up.. lol haha
What's wit all this elitist talk... "mainstream wouldn't appreciate it". Get off your high horses, homies, he's no household name but Dilla's up there.
