@NuteGunray94 Go and read 28 Days Later: Aftermath which takes place before and during 28 Days Later. Also the series 28 Days Later where it takes place after 28 Days Later and 28 Weeks Later up to the outbreak in Paris. The latter follow Selena and you find out what happens to Jim and Hannah as well. It is considered cannon.
@TeamFruit so i got recommended to do a cover of this song. to read a comment that i thought of with a recommendation that Im going to follow up on. Recomenception?!?!
@triangleshapedcheese they would have to call it 28 hours later but that is a good idea or they should make a 28 months later after during the infection that happens in france at the end of 28 weeks
@capcomfan2010 Well I heard that it was gonna be called 28 Months Later, in Russia. But due to stupid arguments with the producers they're postponing it for as long as they can.
@MrsRatched What actually happened to Blair in the story? Does he become Infected or does he die, or is he simply one of the first people to leave the country?
@Korincus I would like to think that he'd been infected (fun at 10, Downing Street) but I think he's left the country, just after the queen and all the family
SHIT! SHIT! SHIT! (GRRRRRRRRR, GRRRRRRRRRRR, GRRRRRRRRR) WHAT? WHAT? WTF? (CORPSES SLUMPING ON FLOOR) (GRRRRRRRRRR, GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR, I HATE YOU!!!) (From the Infected who can speak) (GRRRR, GRRRR, GRRR, ARMY BULLETS) (BOMBS) Tony Blair: WTF IS HAPPENING TO MY COUNTRY YOU FUCKING AMERICANS??? George Bush: Calm down you bastard Al-Qaeda have nothing to do with it! (Blair is evacuated) 28 Days Later: GRRRRR - Nuff said
i would love see a 28 Day Later V2 made with all the cutting room floor stuff. You could go so much deeper into the relationships between Selena, Jim, Hannah, Frank, and into where they came from, and what they did before infection hit. They could have had many more cool adventures in the Taxi.
@Guitarwizard Totally agree, there should be a series made along very similar lines. If not based on 28 Days Later, then the original Dawn of The Dead.
@joepbailey stop nitpicking. the song didn't appear on the OST because GYBE doesn't want to be attached to anything major or mainstream. it did however play in the film. listing it as he did gives people who are unfamiliar with the band an easier way to find this track.
@runts101 .. I'm not nit picking. I was just suggesting actually putting Godspeed You! Black Emperor in the title... and people could find it if they entered, "Godspeed you Black Emperor - East Hastings (28 Days Later)"... then it obviously educates the listener on who the actual band is. at the moment people are oblivious to the fact it's Godspeed.. but maybe I am picking haha
also
putting OST in the title is a bit misleading and could spur people to buy it expecting it to feature this song.
I reckon the main thing that made 28 Days Later sooooo good was it had a great soundtrack to emphasise the mood. In A Heartbeat is just pure genious and fits with that scene so well
This movie is the best zombie movie ever created. 28 weeks later is a shit.
SPOILER:
In 28 weeks, they made big mistakes. The whole film don't have this feeling what the 28 days later had. It's just a typical american action-horror film. -.-
I hope they will make movies like 28 days...! GO!
@Kicsur Amen, 28 Weeks didnt use the same camera style they used in Days, with the angles and the darkness and what not, I still like the 28 Weeks story I just dont like how they did it, there was always too much people in every scene, I would have preferred the 2 kids and Scarlet to have to make their way somewhere alone, and most of the music was shit if i recall(in 28 weeks)
@IMnotFATbutUare Apparently it isnt going to happen. Boyle said he will only make it if everyone who made 28 days later will work with him, and several of those people refuse to even speak to each other for whatever reason.
@Kicsur erhm... its not zombie movie but rage virus infected ppl movie, cause zombies r different. i dont want to write about it cause im lazy. read max brooks's zombie survival guide. over
@Carsu12 if you're a fan of George Romero's original zombie mythos and science than following Max Brook's 'Zombie Survival Guide' is a sure-fire way to get yourself killed in a (hypothetical) zombie outbreak.
@Kicsur Your right dude, 28 days had this feeling that sucked you in and didin't let go! as where 28 weeks was just eh shoot this shoot that typical action horror film
@FallenAngelH3 28 days later, particuarly in the scene when they got out of the city, and they were sleeping and seeing the horses, I new something bad was going to happen at some point, and I wanted to turn it off... but... It had a kind of sick fascination for me and I had to see who died next. So sick. But so unbeleivably well made.
Weeks was sadly lacking in that department. I could have turned it off any time I wanted. Days though, I missed two hours of studying because I couldnt pause.
@Lastofalter Yeah very true, days just had this feeling that you wanted to keep watching you wanted to see what was going to happen to the characters you actually cared about them, and the scene where frank turns into an infected and gets shot it was just so sad...
in weeks you already knew the two were going to survive it was very predictable it went more toward the action genre more than the horror that was the big mistake
@Kicsur 28 days later had actors we will never hear of again. (Except the guy who gets infected at the end)
28 weeks later had messed up on some details.
Overall, 28 weeks later was more interesting. They may buggerized the story here and there but they had a good choice of actors and knew what gore was.
@Kicsur well what can you expect from a sequel directed by someone else instead of danny boyle? it wasnt mean to be as great as the first one -_________-
This track was dropped from the OST, they changed it slightly for the film from the original East Hastings by Godspeed you black emperor. It's a shame really, I only got the OST for this track. The only part of the film that made me jump was the car alarm.
@cujomojo2007 ya this film focused on psychological fear instead of cheap jump scares that is why its so scary and still remains a good movie. unlike many American made horror movie.
@shadow6543 Funny I was thinking the same thing. I been playing the games as well as watching both movies. Akira Yamaoka(composer of silent hills music) and John Murphy are very similar.

I just finished with the entire 18 minute song and all I gotta say is when you listen to it it screws with your head like it puts you in deeper thought
the 28 days later soundtrack is somewhat different, it features 21 tracks of which 18 are composed by Boyle himself. Mainly consisting of post-rock influenced short tunes that symbolise key moments in the film. Taking his inspiration from such bands as Mogwai and Godspeed you! Black Emperor whos song East Hastings from the F#OO#A album features in the film, but unfortunately doesnt feature on the soundtrack due to being 20 minutes long.
