Bill, this is no doubt the “QUINTESSENTIAL RED-NECK RAILROAD VIDEO.” I mean this with love!!! A beautiful old steam engine rolling through the backwoods of Illinois, pulling into the town of MAYHEM, where they sell “LOTTO – GUN AMMO – and of course BEER!” Then to top it all off with that wonderful white-bearded older gentleman “just setting” on that caboose! YOU ARE A CINEMATIC GENIUS!!!! I LOVE THIS ONE!!!
@Q4960 Hey glad that you liked it. I believe that you also that tipped me onto this location. Thanks for that. Glad I had lots of mosquito repellent, however. I'll be back.
@Q4960 - I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOO envious of you!! I have a great love of all the geared locomotives, and have them all on my backyard track. here in UK hardly anybody has heard of any of them, let alone one as different as a Heisler.
Looks like they run on the old MILW Road "Southwestern Line" which ran from Sturtevant, WI to Savanna, IL. Hard to believe the MILW ran the "Southwestern Limited" on that line many years ago. I have a calendar photo of that train taken in Savanna, IL back in the early 1950's. Nice train.
what type of whistle is she wearing?

Charles L. Heisler was the designer. I remember a large number of logging camps used these. Great catch of a very rare locomotive. Great video :-)
