Bought one in '09.Blew up and ripped.TSC stores gave me a new one and performed beautifully. Spring '10, I disassembled and stored it. Autumn 2010, I reassembled it and the freggin' thing did not last winter 2010-2011. It ripped all over, pipes are bended beyond repair and it banged the old convertible. Now I am short of $500 and the car has $3700 of damage. I honestly thought it would be good for at least 3 years. In Canada we do have real winters. Why do you think I bought a shelter.
@1899lpv I bought this in '08. I live in upstate NY and we get real winters here too. mine is still standing just fine, though the tarp is beginning to rip a little.
@coolbluelights Are the rips on the folding marks in the fabric? Apparently it is due for extended periods of storage when they are shipped from China...I like the product but hate that 7.5 oz cover. I would pay top dollars for something that is totally American or Canadian made. At least when something's go wrong you are not stuck with shipping charges that are higher than the value of the merchandise. Its just wrong. It tarnishes a good company's name real quick...Damn cheap Chinese products
@1899lpv yeah I agree with you on the chinese crap products. the rips are actually on the corners of the roof where there's a lot of tension from weight of the snow before I brush it off, the tarp has probably deteriorated from being in the sun
we saw all the vidoes looked like you had as much fun as we did, ill do a vidoe on our and the light kit i made for it , i was not going to go and buy the kit was to expensive so making my own was a similer disign set up but different . works good, spent yesterday sealing up air leakes as best as possible so i could add in an electric heater to keep the chill off a bit in the winter
1 hour just to sort the parts out, 2 days with2 people to assemble, use 4x4 for a fram makes a huge difference, lots of freaking screws to man its hell, but once shes up its a hellof a nice shelter, we just got one, and it took us 2 days but it was interesting let me tell ya,
