It is true that the mother hamsters sometimes do eat their young. Some people think that the mothers eat the young because they are threatened by them. Nobody really knows the true reason though... D:
I would have one of theses three items: My favorite book (if I'm gonna die, I'll die happy, gosh darn it!), an opposite gendered hamster so they could breed and dig me out ( /lame joke), OR an oxygen tank in case I ran out of air before I could dig myself out.
you two should go to Amish country here in the US and you could see what it was like living in the 1800's
