  • Beautiful BRT! I appreciate how you keep his coat! Too many are over groomed. Should be quite natural and tidy. Its been awhile since Ive worked with dogs professionally and I notice something in some of the videos with BRT thats kinda bugging me& totally killing the dogs appearance IMO. I ask WHY?! Whats up with the "ponytail" on the head? Why would we groom the dogs as such if it deters them from doing what they are bred to do? Makes no sense IMO it makes them look so FOO FOO! omg so not BRT

  • Stunning dog! I am considering BRT or a Bouvier!

  • Он не любит негров, хоть и сам черный

  • I am researching this breed. Thank you for the video.

  • The sole purpose of my comment is to be anything but politically correct. Political correctness is out of control. This is the wrong place for that sort of discussion however. I only bring it up because people are wasting their time on my messed up comment and its not worth it.

  • Thank you hgalore979 and dvdsivan. I decided not to pay attention to the comment of tjames193. I have answered such question about the trainer some time ago.

  • @tjames193 @freemoly76

I didn't see another person in this video, where the dog was told to attack one but not another. Makes one wonder where the real problem with your observations lie. Faulty theories can't be proven. And you obviously didn't notice, he is biting the sleeve and stick, not skin of any color.

  • @dvdsivan ...thank you for your statement.

  • tjames93,

What's truly messed up is your inability to understand that the African-American gentleman is the TRAINER. He is, with the help of the owner developing the dogs protective skills in a very controlled and professional manner.

The trainers race/ethnicity has absolutely nothing to do with the dogs reaction.

Educate yourself on the breed and methods of training before you feel compelled to make ignorant assumptions of what is actually taking place in the video.

    Responsible owners working

  • So your training the dog to bite black people? That's so messed up. Can you train my dog to do that?

  • @tjames193 I am "black people" and I had my Rottie protection trained by a White trainer. Was I training him to bite White people. The dog was trained to bite anyone that acted the wrong way, whether Black, White, Yellow, Green, Old, Young, Male, Female, whatever...and he WOULD. We could also walk him down a city street and leave him tied up outside while in a store, with nothing to worry about. You say it's messed up to train a dog to bite Blacks, then you want your dog trained that way? HMMMM

  • My dog is also a Mitrofan - Diva puppy...I am in Livermore, I have been looking for Armani's littermates!

  • The guy isn't the attacker, it's his trainer. And this trainer was very good.

  • why is the attacker a black guy?

  • @freemoly76 because most are... LOL!!!!!!!!

  • @freemoly76 I never asked my husband why he is black.

  • I live in San Jose, California. I only have one male. He turned one year old on Sunday.

    His mother is Diva.

  • Thank you, dvdsivan. Where do you live? In your page i saw you have other BRTs. Is it right?

  • Mitrofan is my dogs father.

My big boy is now a year old, but not quite as big as his daddy. If you are looking for a smart, large, powerful, loyal,guardian/protection dog, minus undo aggression, there is no better dog. I would never own another breed.

    Bravo Mitrofan!!

  • He looks great!

  • He looks great!

  • WoW

  • lol beautifull dog, he would eat yours and your mothers face off if he could...that is so beautifull man i see where youre coming from..totally

  • That is such a beautiful dog!

  • Да, мне тоже видится, что он воспринимает это как игру :)

У меня чёрного терьера никогда не было. Была ризенша. Поведение чем-то схоже.

  • is it true the black russian has a lot of health issues and they dont live very long?

  • I have never heard about that.

For example, the father of our MItrofan ( Kris) is about 14 years old and in good health.

  • thats fantastic! I stopped myself getting a russian due to being told about the issues with UK ones which are terrible if you check out the rbtclubdotcodotuk and see how theyve now got a problem with kidneys or something!!? And then the sheer amount of grooming is horendous which im sure the russian army didnt want??

  • Actually, there are not absolutely healthy dog in the world , as humans. It depends on enviroment, food, water, genetic ( of course) and so on. BRT is a very big dog, so an owner have to be careful with the food for a dog, supplements, with exersices. Dogs have many problems with kidney because of the FOOD and supplements ( my opinion).

Of, course, genes play a big role in dogs health as well.

  • But the Ovcharka doesnt have any of those issues but I suppose 4 thousand years of development could be a key factor. What do you think?

  • As my husband says, most Russian breeders do not have such problems with BRT health long time ago. May be in UK breeders used a lot of in breeding mating, that's why there are many health issues with BRT there. Also, in USA (may be in UK also) there is no such thing as rejection ,as in Russia.

  • I don't tell that all BRTs in Russia are healthy. You should know from what kennel you buy a puppy.

We had an ovcharka before ( we bought it here), and he had some problems with legs ( joints).

We are very happy that we have a Mitrofan, he is a healthy and intelegent dog.

  • @BRTmitrofan Armani's owner here....I just got his HUU DNA test back (hyperuricosuria -kidney and bladder stone disease) he is clear and cannot develop it, and all puppies he sires will not develop it either!

  • About grooming. Yes, a BRT should be brushed at least once a week ( my husband does it 3-4 times a week). If it's difficult and inconvinient for an owner to care for dog's coat, BRT could have a short haircut. And of course, the hair on the head and legs could be cut short, but in this case, BRT will not look as BRT.

  • Your most likely right about that the russian army lads will spend a lot of time with their dogs so grooming shouldnt be too much of an issue.

  • You are right, there is no problem for Army to care about BRT. In hot parts of Russia BRTs have a short haircut.

  • Ive got an ovcharka at the moment which ive got to be honest is more powerful and agressive than the russian but no where near as trainable thats why i love the BRT it has both going for it. Check out my new upload you might like it!!

  • @BRTmitrofan Are these dogs as strong as the Livestock Gaurdian Dog breeds? Because I'm thinking of buying either a BRT or an LGD breed in the future. Its just that the coat makes the dog look "girly" and I can't see what the actual dogs body looks like so I don't know whether it is a strong dog or not.

  • @bluegama500

Pretty stronger than Rottweilers for example... Much stronger bite as well. I met the first BRT breeder in my country, some 15 years ago. He was breeding Rottweilers at the same time. He claimed that BRT was much more powerful and more agile dog.

  • The dog is beautiful and I like the quality of the training. Good decoying.

  • Молодец!!!!!!!!! Так держать.

  • Mitrofan Krasavets!

  • A wonderful Brt!!!

    Where is he from?

  • Los Angeles California
