I think sobriety and altered state are two distinctly different experiences, with fear being the only reason to compare the two. The people I find often leaping to the rally cry of, "I don't need anything to enhance this experience!" Often says it with such a didactic, almost preachy overture, you have to wonder who they're trying to convince. Oscar Wilde once said 'Only the shallow know themselves," and I find that applicable to people who profess their sobriety of experience.

hmm, I agree with a lot of people here. You don't NEED to be high to enjoy the music fully, but it DOES enhance music a GREAT DEAL!

I've listened to some songs high/sober - and I pick up parts of the song that I've NEVER EVER EVER noticed before while being high that I didn't notice while sober. And it does make music sound 'fuller' or 'thicker' - like it has some sort of physical substance that you could reach out and touch. But you do NOT NEEEEEEED to be high to enjoy music.

It's true that it's not necessary to be "high" on any sort of drug to enjoy music like this, or any art for that matter.

However, mind-altering substances can and will give new meaning to art, a completely new perspective. It's hard to explain what actually happens to your senses - all I can say is that it -really does- change the experience immensely, and almost always in a positive way.

@diG1tY The best drug to really listen to most psychill on really is just weed, they just go so well together. Good music to listen too while and after you smoke, you'll feel amazing. You can get the effects of most drugs through yourself or for stimulation gathering energy from the area around you but it can be hard for people to do that don't forget. It takes a lot of practice and focus, and most people just get frustrated, give up, and take the easy way.

Wow it's really amazing how slowing down the Mea Culpa video and putting it to this Aes Dana song really changes the mood and meaning of it. I would have left out the scenes that actually had the words 'Enigma' and 'Mea Culpa' out of it, but hey, great idea anyhow. Makes for quite a beautiful video, nice job. Haze is one of my favourite tunes, too.
