  • @noFinPIKEY yea I got the full set now and I was amazed at how sharp the wak was the tanto needed a quick blast on the accusharp set and now it's sharper than the wak but I love my raptor set now and it's stunning how well they cut, one design flaw of the tanto is the external menuki nips your fingers lol

  • Yea but how sharp is it? I bit of explanation and a close up would help alot more

  • @NUFCRossy Greater detail of the review is available in the links provided from the clip description. Thank you for watching.

  • @NUFCRossy i`ve got 1 of these and it came hair shaving sharpe. but i`ve also got the raptor tanto, that came sharpish but i had to sharpen it up to get it somewhere near.. but thats the same with all hanwei swords they are never going to be consitant as they are truly hand made

  • Clean cuts. Nice work Mr. Urso.

  • Thanks. I enjoyed your Zasquatch clips as well...funny stuf!

  • Thank you Marc.

  • Very nice! Maybe it is time for me to buy a wakizashi as well :)

  • Thanks Johan. It's a decent sword for the price, especially for hard targets.

  • It's always a pleasure to see a cutting video from you, Tom. Thanks.

  • Thanks Randy, you're too kind.

  • And I might add, Tom is looking great working the waki. Handsome devil heehee.

  • So starts my legions of fans...thanks Dan. I assume that you have the daito. If so, do you find the heavier weight overly fatiguing or hard on the joints?

  • I tried seitei with it for about 3 weeks (for some reason I am in love with the saya). Joints were not an issue, but I certainly became 'aware' due to its weight. It was most definitly a workout, and my arm was like a limp noodle after using it in such a manner.

  • I love the raptor I have. Its done very well against everything I have tried it on (mats, bamboo, boxes, bottles, cat tail stalks to date). The chromium designation makes it difficult to sharpen, but its well worth it, as it held an edge for 7 months with tri-weekly abuse! Its a rugged and commanding sword.

  • Great cutting. That Wakizashi seems to hold up quite well by the looks of it.

  • Thanks! It did hold up rather well to hard targets. Please feel free to read the review on both UBC & Swordsmanship Youtube group.

  • There is also a review on Sword Forum International & HDGDForum.

  • As always great cutting Tom, by the way i finally watched Reclaiming the Blade, i gotta say i loved it,you were great, too bad there wasn't more talk about Japanese swords, great film non the less.

  • Thanks Luka! I am also glad that you enjoyed watching "Reclaiming the Blade".
