  • I hate to laugh, but "you might be a redneck..."

  • Must of been CB guys. For as high as the antenna was they could of dismantled the antenna before taking the tower down. That's why Ham guys take a test.

  • @bikernut1969 lol!

  • Is this a Groundplane ?

  • Such an expensive antenna....such a big bunch of dumbasses...you put the antenna on afterwards....Besides, thats barely high enough off the ground to get you more then 6 miles (if your lucky). Best way to go about it if your doing this....take a barrel, fill it with concrete, then stick a few inches of the tower in it, & let it set.....then bury the barrel for added support, after all that...it wont move easily.

  • @man2fix4u Actually everyone was sober at the time. at most only 1 beer was had by each. And one of the guys in the vid doesn't even drink beer. He drinks strictly nonalcoholic. I myself dont even drink..

  • Would have been fine if the guy holding the camera helped... :P BUT then we wouldn't have this video. XD

  • well they lowered it

  • ouch !!!!!!!

  • Gives you a SICK feeling just seeing this happen to such a bad-ass antenna.

  • oops !!!

  • Gravity has that effect on things, looks like a bit of straightening of the lower elements will get it back in order. Been there done that.

  • oh bummer!

  • Well , that's what happens. :-)

5 stars to you for the fun value. :-)

  • was it totally trashed? that sucks...

  • We found a guy nearby who had parts. We had it repaired and he was talking on it later that night.

  • Damn dude! That sucks ass, im kinda confused... were they removing or installing the antenna?

  • The hole it was set in was a temporary setup so they could tune and test the antenna. And so he had something to use while the main tower was erected. They needed to disassemble the 2 tower segments from the bottom so they could hoist it 60 Feet into the air, and bolt it to the rest of the tower.
