Enterprise Alternate Intro "To Boldly Go..." Season 5

Good video. I liked it a lot. The only thing I would suggest is that the ending few seconds be the traditional 'Warp-Out' that we've come to know as Trek.

Personaly I don'think the ship should have been called Enterprise. Same for the show. Kirk's ship is a Constitution-Class ship, I remember reading the Navy(as Roddenbury would take most of Trek's style formalities from) ship-classes were named from the prototype vessle. In ST-TOS, the first of Enterprise's type would have been christened Constitution. Archer's ship(GOOD design!!) is not a Constitution-class ship. An alternate show name might be ST-To Boldly Go. Ship's name? Endeavor...? ArGO...?

@Velocity9s Considering ST:ENT takes place like 100 years PRIOR to TOS, the Constitution class hasn't even been dreamed of at this point. The Space Shuttle Enterprise was actually named after the Enterprise from TOS, and for story purposes serves as this Enterprise's ancestor (the shuttle Enterprise was the prototype space shuttle) and there for named after the original Space Shuttle. The name Enterprise has been used MANY times throughout history.

I'm not familier with your info concerning the 'backround' of ST-ENT's Ship. Are You saying that Star Fleet or whom ever named the 'Warp-5' ship after the SpaceShuttle Enterprise? Where did you read or hear about this information(which, incedently makes sence to me now...)?

@Velocity9s Sorry for the lengthy delay, I lost internet this past week. Nothing was actually SAID about the connection, however I feel that the opening to Enterprise tells the story. The name has been on some of the most famous ships of their day, so it makes since that the designers of the NX-class would feel that the first Warp-5 Interstellar starship would be more than deserving of that name. And as the opening has at least 2 of the 3 I mentioned appearing in it. "logic dictates" that ....

It's a pity that Enterprise didn't go farther than 4 Seasons due to cancellation--it left us with a 4-year Star Trek "dry spell", us fans eagerly waiting for a new movie or TV show! I think, though, that the ending in "These Are the Voyages" was pretty appropriate in featuring the major ships named Enterprise--the USS Enterprises from the 24th and 23rd Centuries and the Enterprise from the 22nd Century, all nearly exactly 100 years apart each (2363-2272, 2266-2285, and 2151-2161).

Very nicely done. I really think Enterprise would have done better if the opening title had been instrumental. It put off a lot of Trekkies right away. I might get flamed, but Enterprise is my favorite of the Treks as far as story telling goes.

Stewart did a good job on the TNG version I think. He sounded, to me, like someone who desperately wanted to get out there and look under every rock.

This is extremely well made and I love it =] the only thing I think could be changed is that Archers narration starts just when the music really gets louder... maybe he can narrate and then the music kicks in? would make the sequence longer so we could get more images of the beautiful NX-01! =]

This outstanding and quite well done. I enjoyed the cast line-up pan and the sunset scean at the end. Although I am one of those that thinks that the FoTH theme is a match to Human ideals and the whole canon questions that ST:E and ST:FC set off from established canon in ST:TNG with the story concepts that Vulcan's hindered Human progress, and how FC with them actually happened. In a way you might think this. However since the ship named "Enterprise" isn't just a name only for space travel.

"Previously French vessel L'Enterprise before her capture in May of 1705. Served in the Mediterranean under command of J. Paul. May 19, 1707, her new captain takes command, W. Davenport, and she saw action off of Leghorn, (Livorno) Italy. She wrecked on October 12, 1707 off of Thornton."

"Enterprise" is a name of a legend of ships on itself. =P

Beautifully done!!! As mentioned by other commenters, it also brought tears to my eyes. One more season for "Enterprise" would have allowed the events of the 22nd. and 23rd. centuries to have been more completely tied together. Very much a missed opportunity.

Despite Enterprise's shortcomings, I still would have liked to see a fifth season.

This would have made a perfect opening.

The only thing you might have forgotten is that had the show continued "Jeffrey Combs" would have become a permanent member of Enterprise and therefore, most deservedly, been added to the Opening Credits.
