  • @applelover1969 It was not my computer at the time, it was over $2K custom built from Apple

  • The best reunboxing ever

  • WHAT AN IDIOT YOU DID'NT EVEN SHOW THE PLUG INS ON THE SIDE !!

  • Comment removed

  • loko esse notebook vixi da hora 2.93ghz de processador

  • Nice RE-unboxing.

  • Does your friend you you almost dropped his like 2500 dollar laptop?

  • Great unboxing!

  • Your Macbook is better than my iMac :(

    Lol

  • same with me!

  • I liked your unboxing because other and most unboxings are just music i liked how you listed everything

  • I'm saving up for this baby! ;)

  • @ 2:00 That's why it's called a MacBook PRO lol :-)!

  • can you install windows live messenger without any problem ?

  • Yes

  • @pegro2 I recommend Adium For The Mac :)

  • @pegro2 yeah, microsoft to a mac version, called microsoft messenger for mac 8.0

and it feels just like Windows Live and its made by Microsoft aswell.

  • Never mind. My bad.

  • There is no 2.93 Ghz processor. Its 2.8 or 3.06.

  • the last generation did have 2.93ghz this is the late '08 version the one before late '09

  • upgrade? you mean for apple to update them?

there not gonna update them till june or next sept haha

  • Should I get this now or wait until the next update? I heard they're coming out with a new line of Macbook Pros around February/March.

  • nooo..they update macbook pros in july or september

but they usually make smaller updates in like january.

depends...i mean do you need a faster processor? if not, then i say that its okay to get a new one

  • No, I just want a bit more screen but a faster processor would be nice but not necessary either. I have one question. How are the speakers on your current Macbook Pro? I heard some people were experiencing problems with the right speaker being louder and having some rattle sounds. How's yours working so far?

  • bigger screeen?

they wont upgrade the size screen. they have always had 15.4 and 17 inches for like 10 years..

ughh the sound is very good i think. i havent had problems with it, the only problem ive had with it is dust. haha glossy screen

  • Thanks man. I meant to say a bit more screen as of having a 15 inch notebook. I have a 13 inch Macbook Aluminum now and I want a bit more screen real estate. Yeah the glossy screen is something you have to be cleaning quite often.

  • yeahhh i was looking at the 13 inch but it was just too small. so i got the 15inch.

you should connect urs to a external monitor

and just keep your macbook pro

  • Wait they are updating on 27th jan! :D i am waiting! you would be gutted if you bought it now and the updates were amazing.

  • Yeah I heard the announcement will be this wednesday. I never bought it so I'm still waiting for the announcement. I was close to buying it but know deep inside waiting a little longer will be the ideal thing for me.

  • Yes you can install Windows on a Mac

  • I am thinking about getting the macbook pro (bottom of the range) or the white macbook I would prefer the pro but is it worth the extra cash?

  • yes it is.

  • if you carry it around a lot then get the pro but if you don't move it a lot get the white its also unibody now and it has a 250gb drive standard

  • It was good but it would be nice if you booted it

  • You have to plug it in first.

  • Macbook Pro 15"

  • wats best a mack book pro 15"or a hp dv6 1420 us ??'

  • It's your preference, if you are a Mac or PC....lol

  • get hp envy 15

  • @easr3000 HP computers are low quality, Macs have all around MUCH better quality and reliability, and that precise computer you say gets absolutely burned by any Mac

  • these machines are the best, better than windows

  • hey dont u mean 2.83

  • no hes right, 2.93, custom ordered online

  • I want one but my parents bought me a laptop a year ago is it selfish to save my money to get a new laptop

  • this cant be 2.93 because the apple website only has 2.80 and 3.06?

  • look at the date it is an old model the original unibody MacBook Pro

  • the 2008 has 2.93 but the 2009 has 2.53,2.66,2.8&3.06

  • why arent macbooks made for gaming?

  • who says they arent?

  • they are... just not a lot of gaming companies make games for mac

  • they are... they just need to figure out how to deal with the heating problem

  • i want one

  • im getting one soon too, 3.06 ghz, 500 gb 7200 rpm, 4gb ram 15 inch cant wait!!!

  • 1 question

why did you get thhe high end model?! i mean like what could you be doing that you would neew 3.06nghz

  • It is not my computer, but there are many reasons why you would need a powerful computer like the MacBook Pro.

  • maybe because im going into film production...

  • okay! thanks!

i asked cause i was going to get one so yeah

  • Good luck! You will love the MacBook Pro! Enjoy

  • im getting one with

    2.53ghz processor

    4gig ddr3 ram

    320 hdd

    nvidia 9600M

    oh and its a 15"

    Can't W8!

  • So fucking lucky. Wish I could afford one =(

  • Huh! You almost drop it! =O

  • hahahahah

  • honestly the clock for example 2.53 for this 2.93 we cant see the difference.

I wanna know about the difference beetwen the HDD for SSD

  • Solid State HD's are more durable and you can see them in iPods mostly. It is more expensive, but like it won't brake when you drop it. That is the bright side of a SSD over HDD.

  • not to mention they are about 69 times faster...

  • and 69 times more expensive lol

  • nice vid

  • Yes, my MacBook does get loud especially when I am exporting a video mostly in ScreenFlow, or playing a game. Other than that, nothing is not normal. I have the 5400 that came with it originally, and I think that the 7200 runs better and smoother on the notebook.

  • more professional computer for professional : P

  • dident they just relase these liek yesterday cheaper

  • yeah, but notice he uploaded this May 14th, not June 8th...

  • I really like this guy. He is an up and coming YouTuber!

  • I subbed to you as well.

  • Great unboxing!! That is one expensive ass laptop.

  • lol agreed, when are you getting yours, after WWDC if they upgrade them?

  • If they don't refresh them at WWDC Monday, then Monday night I will go out and buy the MBP 15 2.66ghz. If they do refresh them then soon as it's released I will buy it.

  • dbrraa3393, get the asus n81vp. although it's only a 14 inch, it has a better graphics card, has 4 gigs of ram, hdmi port, and also has 5 usb ports! around only $1200.

  • ok so i am heading to college in the fall my parents agreed to buy me a macbook pro so i am right now debating between 2.4, 2.66, 2.93 processor. i plan on buying a 500gb hard drive and 2 2gb sticks ddr3 ram(maybe more but i cant find a good 3gb stick for a macbook) off of new egg and put that in myself. i want to play games like COD4 and run bootcamp with windows 7 and school work. So my question is which one should i get and why?

  • I think that if you are planning to buy a MacBook Pro in the first place, do not get the 2.4. I say this because you could easily get a MacBook for almost $400 cheaper. Besides that, the 2.66 with boosted up Ram would be a great choice. It has a great display with a fast processor. I think that would be a great match. The 2.93 would always help, but I think for what you are planning to do, the 2.66 will do you fine. Good Luck!

  • thx, i think i am going to go with the 2.66 it also has that step up in graphics card from the 2.4 MBP

  • yeah it does. You will love the 2.66. It's awesome

  • Hi,

Wondering whether I should get a 2.66Ghz MacBook Pro with 4GB of RAM and a 320GB HDD or a top of the line MacBook. I would really appreciate your opinion on this, and if it helps you, it will be used for schoolwork, light gaming and video editing.

    Thanks,

    Zach

  • MacBook Pro if you can. Better screen size/resolution, faster processor, it can support 8GB RAM, has an expansion slot, and Apple won't disclose any information, but the MacBook Pro screens are of better quality and produce deeper blacks. Let's continue. Better graphics, louder speakers, etc. Any questions?

  • Cool, thanks =]

  • If you want a smaller but powerful notebook then go with the Macbook like mine. I have a top of the line macbook with 4 GB of ram, with 2.4 ghz. I use mine for schoolwork etc., and I find the macbook easier to come and go with. Good luck!

  • do you have any guess about when apple will release a new updated macbook pro? or at least lower the price a few hundred bucks? thanks. great vid btw

  • if they don't release a minor update at WWDC, then you'll have to wait 'til Sept. or Oct.. You might be better off at that later date because there is a decent chance Snow Leopard will be out by then so you will get it for free. Also you might get a quad core or at least a much faster dual-core.

  • wow nice but about 3,000 dollars a lot of money i wouldnt buy over the 1999 model lol which i might get after they update it again but nice video

  • Yeah, good to wait and see what they do and upgrade

  • should i get the 13 inch2.4ghz macbook or the 15 inch 2.4ghz macbook pro?

  • I have the 2.4 Ghz Macbook, and I love it. The ting I should have thought about before buying it is the Macbook Pro has a bigger screen and better graphics card. The processor is the same. If I were to buy a Macbook Pro, I would get the 2.66 since it comes with 4 GB ram, and the Macbook comes with 2. Save money on the Macbook, but get the Pro for a nicer screen and graphics.

  • cool! what kind of profession are you?

  • A 15inch with 2,93 gHz=?

    Where can i get this=

  • You have to customize it from Apple's online store. This model was built from a 2.66 Ghz

  • NICE! my sister wants one ;D i dont like the macbook air to thin looks like you could break it lol

  • lol. Yeah i guess so

  • WHat size screen? im getting one the 22nd

  • 15 inch

  • You should wait, Apple is most likely going to upgrade the specs on June 8-12 at the WWDC conference.
