i got a question.

on my playlist window (where you put all the patterns together to make a song) i only have tracks (track1 track2 track3 ect...) but i dont have the option for patterns... like at 2:12, you go to the playlist window and it is divided in half between the track section and the pattern section...i had fl9 and i had both options but i just recently went to fl 10 and for some reason its only giving me the option for tracks...if you could help it would be greatly appreciated :> thanks

@mfjeff Yhea its because you have fl10.

I would recommend you learning just how to use the tracks as its way more useful and convenient.

But if you want the the old split design back, open fl studio

go into Options>General Settings

Then find and highlight the box next to "Enable Legacy pattern Blocks"

Thats it.

Do you think you can make a better melody tutorial? I'm still not really understanding it. I know Aminor and Cmajor right now but i'm trying to understand them first before I go into anything else. Lol. I don't really understand melody's that much. Like why you used a-e-c-g or whatever thats confusing. Do you think you could make another video and try to explain what's going on with the notes and melody? would help out alot...

@darklotusfaygo I wasn't really showing you how to make a melody in this tutorial. It was more of like how to understand the melody and know how it works and such.

But of coarse, i'll be releasing alot more tutorials.

So just keep an eye out for them.

And just a little tip, you're not going to get better from watching tutorials. It's going to help you out alot, but you're going to have to work towards it yourself. These tutorials are kind of like a push or a jumpstart in the right direction.

..sigh.. i really hate to be "THAT GUY" ... but the FACT of the situation is.. and i emphasize FACT<--- .. youtube is excessively OVER POPULATED with "beginner" tutorials for FL Studio.. theres LITERALLY no logical use for any one to post most.. everything you did here has been shown at least 4000 times... just take a look at the videos to the right of this page... alls im sayin is it would benefit u and others if you post whatever you consider "Advanced" FL tutorials.. be useful..

That's kind of the whole reason I made my website, is to help people get to the point of where they can actually understand what i'm doing in advanced tutorials.

Say I just gave them an advanced tutorial, they wouldn't know what I'm doing because they don't even know the basics.

Sure there are thousands of other tutorials, but atleast i'm trying to help people out alright. So if you don't like the beginner tutorials, then don't watch them!
