  • I miss Mongolia so much. I remember listening this song during a Christmas special on TV as a kid. A lot of childhood memories in Mongolia.

  • I wish we had such good music in Christmas specials here in Brazil.

  • Tenger is Blue Father Sky and as in god is the sky to Mongolians and Siberians who still believe in him. Those that are practicing this religion have stopped using the inaccurate term Shamanism and are calling their faith tengerism.

  • goe duu daa...

  • nice song!

  • I would say that "Tengri" means sky. It has nothing to do with God in Mongolian. Although, Mongolians used to (And some still are) worship Blue sky and Green grasslands as mother earth who nurtures every human being. Maybe that why the word tendri has passed on as god. Additionally, it's not tengri it is pronounced as "Tenger". So the confusion might came up from the pronounsiation of the word. Im not an expert in words but as a mongolian Tenger doesn't mean God or something like that

  • Is the first word from the singer "Tengri"?

In turkish we use Tanri (in old turkish Tengri) means God.

  • Yeah, sounds like "tengri".

Tengri means God in the Mongolian language too, as it belongs to the same language family as Turkish.

  • ene minii hamgiin durtai duu bn,
