Sadly, the lyrics to this song describe my life quite well lately.

Same old story, I'm a High School kid, crushin' HARD on this beautiful girl. But alas, for deep and unnecessarily complicated reasons, I'm fairly certain that she /hates/ me. I've been spending a long time trying to get her to realize that I'm not the guy she thinks I am. That I'm not a snake in the grass. Hopefully I get somewhere with her soon. I love her, and I don't think I can shake it.
