  • for those of you who are arguing about this call notice a few things. Riley stops as if he thought he was out of bounds and thought they play was dead. According to the field judge he thought riley was ran out of bounds.

key words on replay "conclusive evidence to overturn calls" I see no conclusive evidence and even as a duke fan will say while questionable they made the right call after replay.

either way duke is getting better at football and looking good now in 2011

  • oohhhhhhhh!!!!!

  • doesnt he have to establish himself by getting a foot down before the catch?? guess not

  • legal catch bitches!!

  • "following review by instant replay"

  • he was forced out lol. he can't run off the field and back out, but aslong as a defensive player pushes him out he can still come back in. If that was the case i'd shove my guy off the field every play to have a man up

  • forceout. that rule doesn't exist in the NFL, but since this is college that is legal

  • when the corner pushes the receiver out of bounds, the receiver can come back in bounds, but if the receiver runs out of bounds on his own he cant come back in and make the play. im pretty sure thats the rule.

  • he was out of bounds then came back inbounds. thats not aloud lol. if you go out of bounds you cant go back in, with or with out ball. so yes he was out of bounds

  • i love how ppl come on here and talk shit about duke when none of yall can even make the team

  • in bounds if u can see he jump back in and caught it

  • in the NFL that wouldnt b a catch

  • That's retarded! The guy blocking him was like WTF? He let him go cause the Referee threw his Hat! That's some bulshit!

  • he was out dats some shit

  • haha the ref was obviously a duke fan cuz hes like. TOUCHDOWN

  • It looked like he was forced out of bounds so in that case he would be able to come back in and make that catch. It was funny that after the catch even the receiver stopped running for a second.

  • READ THIS CAUSE IT ACTUALLY WORKS YOU WILL BE KISSED ON THE NEAREST POSSIBLE FRIDAY BY THE LOVE OF YOUR LIFE. TOMORROW WILL BE THE BEST DAY OF YOUR LIFE. NOW UV STARTED READING THIS DON'T STOP THIS IS SO SCARY PUT THIS ON AT LEAST FIVE VIDEOS IN 143 MINUTES WHEN YOUR DONE PRESS F6 AND YOUR LOVER NAME WILL APPEAR ON THE SCREEN IN THE BIG LETTERS THIS IS SO SCARE CAUSE IT ACTUALLY WORKS

  • Dez Bryant wasn't forced out, the d Back leaned into the receiver causing him to move out of bounds. They should of just called pass inter. but refs are stupid, either way he is still allowed to come back in bounds to make a play on the ball. The ref should of explained that after the review.

  • Dez Bryant wasn't forced out, the d Back leaned into the receiver causing him to move out of bounds. They should of just called pass inter. but refs are stupid, either way he is still aloowed to come back in bounds to make a play on the ball. The ref should of explained that after the review.

  • oh my gosh!!!!! dukes 1 and 11 record season depends on a catch in the 1st quarter vs the fierce midshipmen

  • well he had two feet before he caught it so yeh i think touchdown

  • FUCK PAUL JOHNSON!!!!! GO DAWGS!!!!

  • dez bryant did this in NFL and they called a PENALTY WTF

  • @MrAmazingWRW That's because NFL rules are different than NCAA.

  • dude it doesnt matter if he was in bounds when he caught it! Once u go out of bounds u cant even go back and touch the ball

  • @NINJACL0WN0518 if the reciever is forced out by a defender he can.

  • @NINJACL0WN0518 If you're forced out you can touch the ball.

  • i don't understand why the crowd boo'ed a little.. he was obviously in-bounds when he caught it.

  • @snowourder because when you go out of bounds when you are not forced out you are now an ineligible receiver

  • Nub

  • Poor DB probably got benched for the rest of the game, all because he pointed out that the receiver was out of bounds.

  • NO HE WAS NOT

  • he was pushed out and came back in he made the touchdown and it was a nice catch from pulling it out his ass if you ask me

  • He went out by himself no catch imcomplete pass! End of story.

  • 0:30 the ref throws his hat on the ground. This signals that the receiver was pushed out of bounds. In that situation, the receiver can reenter the field and still make a catch. Q.E.D.

  • the best part is that the cornerback and the receiver stop running after the catch, and then start running again

  • idk think its like a catch b-cuz his both feet need to be on the ground like they only one made it by lil a mill sec

  • WTF....Fuck You YouTube you greedy motherfuckers!!!!!!!!

  • 0:01 skip the ads

  • @Vindaver2469 the ads dont have to pop up on the video, I wouldnt mind if they were on the sides.

  • @Vindaver2469 not true.... youtube has been, and always will be profitable without in-video ads....

  • @TheElmoForever use adblock

  • @TheElmoForever Firefox + AdBlock = Youtube Heaven

  • He reestablished himself in bounds. It counts.

  • Hell where's the pass interference call or illegal contact call. THATS THE BIG QUESTION

  • touchdown

  • hes fuckin in good call

  • ahahhaha but no

  • its not a touchdown because the reciever cannot be the first player to touch the ball so it is an incomplete pass

  • He Can't go back in its not a touchdown. Bad Call. Agreed??

  • @krussell1699 he was forced out of bounds excluding that rule

  • @krussell1699 yes he can stupid

  • i say touchdown

  • he knows he cant deny a black man making a touchdown

  • ur allowed to create contact if the ball isnt in the air as long as u dont hold he was forced out and came back in it was a touchdown

  • he was forced out of bounds by the defender

  • no touchdown you can not come back from out of bounds and catch a ball UNLESS YOU ARE FORCED OUT OF BOUNDS WHITCH WOULD THERYFORE BEPASS INTERFERNCE. but he was not so it is no touchdown

  • thats a load of crap, if u go out of bounds, either the play is dead, or your out of the game. NO TOUCHDOWN!!!!!!!

  • @sosborn101 you're*

  • It looked like pass interference to

  • Its Duke vs Navy. Who gives a shit

  • @Wdpjumpman23 A FUCKING MEN who gives a shit

  • @Wdpjumpman23 lol

  • @Wdpjumpman23 u will in basketball

  • @clevenger013 This comment is stupid. So many things wrong with it. Idc about Duke basketball or Navy basketball anyways, so your point is invalid.

  • there right

he jumped you have to touch out for it to be called out

  • @triplehhh478019 Yeah that's true but, that wasnt what they were confused about it is because he was out of bounds and was the first person to touch the ball next but he was forced out so that makes him still legible to catch the ball

  • no duuuuuuu ya he was out of bounds

  • @AntnyDsmn tru i cant see tho if hes touching him tho u know not great footage lol but i know the rules i just dnt have great vision lol thnks tho

  • @MrRealityCheck123 also, on the case of the receiver stopping. from what i can tell, why take off right away and give yourself up, when you can "walk" forward a couple of yards while the defender is facing the other way and give yourself a much larger head start.

  • no the recievers hands was actually on the defender..the defender was turning for the ball...his hands werent on the reciever at all if u watch carefully...there fore he wasnt forced or pused so it shud have been no touchdown...cause even the reciever stops wen he catches the ball, he knew he was out by himself

  • @MrRealityCheck123 it's not a matter of being pushed--if there was the slightest contact (hands or body) prior to him going OOB, he can come back in to make the play.

  • no the recievers hands was actually on the defender..the defender was turning for the ball...his hands werent on the reciever at all if u watch carefully...there fore he wasnt forced or pused so it shud have been no touchdown...

  • dude

    its not an out..

he was in all the way..:)SDF//shajan

  • Great Call!! although DB's can't get away with much anymore

  • he was but he jump and got it in bones

  • @Shawnshawn100 i agree he got it in bones

  • he just didnt look as if he was forced, he looks as if he clearly wasnt watching where he was running and went out of bounds. the defender stuck his hand out to feel where his reciever was as he was turning to look for the ball. thats what i see. no touchdown. but the call is made.

  • Eligibility Lost by Going Out of Bounds

ARTICLE 4. No eligible offensive receiver who goes out of bounds during a

down shall touch a legal forward pass in the field of play or end zones or while

airborne until it has been touched by an opponent or official (A.R. 7-3-4-I-III).

[Exception: This does not apply to an eligible offensive player who attempts

to return inbounds immediately after going out of bounds due to contact by an

    opponent (A.R. 7-3-4-IV)].

  • There was no pass interference

When two or more eligible players are making a simultaneous and bona

fide attempt to reach, catch or bat the pass. Eligible players of either

team have equal rights to the ball (A.R. 7-3-8-XII).

  • i mean i played corner in high school. i didnt mean force out of bounds i mean as far as i can force him out or in. soooooooooo yeah. if the reciever is lined up on the outside of me ima force him out if hes in ima try and push him to the linebackers. im far from an idiot just trying to get my point across. but on my previous comments let me know how you feel about what i said and ill try and back up what i say.

  • and if he was forcing the reciever out which looks that way at 0:24, his hand might have been on him so why wasnt it pass nterference because he wasnt looking for the ball until about a second later. so he would be interefering the pass. im still trying to understand this play but if it was a good call it should have been a flag on the play then decilined for a touchdown. but it wasnt. the defender didnt force the reciever out, the reciever ran out without paying attention. @NailGun667, @Ja3Ce3

  • number one. he definitely wasnt even forced out. if you look at the video as soon as the guys entered the screen the defender was in front of the reciever and the receiver ran out. if the reciever runs his ass out of bounds. NO TD. i didnt see the defender push or force the reciever out of bounds. its hard to do that if you're in front of the reciever... hmmm... yeah. prove to me he was forced out. @NailGun667, Ja3Ce3. sooo show me where he was forced.

  • hahaha the corner was like haha ur going out but NOPE thats not how it works

  • it's a TD, if the receiver is forced out of bounds by the defense, then returns to the field of play, it is allowed, now if he had just stepped out of bounds and then came back in, with the defense forcing him, it would be a penalty , @bigboi666666 , learn the rules of football

  • lmao

  • Awesome call! good pick up by the Ravens too

  • NO TD! That was a terrible call. Whether he was 'forced' out or not, as a reciever you are to get off your defender and get on your route, as a defender you force your reciever out, if it didn't matter, defensive backs wouldn't try so hard to push the reciever out of bounds.

    LUCKY TD!

  • @bigboi666666 you're an idiot and you don't know the rules of football don't just make stuff up like that

  • @bigboi666666 no, a defenders job is to jam the reciever and not let him off. you don't have to force him out

  • @bigboi666666 lol what ever

  • @bigboi666666 if he is forced out he can come back in and be the first player to touch the ball

  • good call reff

  • what ever happened to the two feet in after out of bounds rule?? or is that only NFL?.?..

  • @KC816KC its one foot for college and college rules are a lot different

  • no tuchdown first call was right

  • and if you can pause the video at the :07 mark, you will see he is clearly nowhere near 5 yards oob... we'd be lucky to call that 1 yard

  • janitor, while that is true, the call says the refs think he was pushed out rather than stepping out on his own

I could be wrong, but I believe a player is allowed to get back onto the field of play legally if forced out

  • the contact isn't great enough to force him like 5 yards oob. i would have called a penalty on him.

  • it was touchdown, he was on the field - a half yard or so - when he catched it... but if thats not correct, imo it should be called interference, looks like the defender pushed him out of bounds---

  • he cought it cause when the ball was in the air he jupmped and got it in midair

  • deffinately a touchdown, when he caught it he was around a half of a yard away from getting out.

  • you dont know the rules do you?

  • The DBs head is turned and running towards the sidelines forcing Riley to move with him. Riley slowed up and cut back inside and the defender probably didnt even know the ball was thrown.

  • thats a TD

  • he was definetly forced out, well maybe he was smart and made it look like he was being forced out, but hes between a defender and the sideline and the defenders is pushing him that way. so i think... possibly, i dunno enough about the sport to comment

  • it did look like he cut off his angle to keep going straight so i say he was allowed to come back in. TOUCHDOWN!!!!!

  • look at the angle he isn't forced out he cut his route outside then came back in he was never touched no TD

  • fair TD

  • He Was Forced Out It Looked Like. He Is Allowed To Come Back In

  • well he ran out and jumped back in...

so he's back in the game.. well thats wat i think

  • haha duke bitches

  • you are all retarded for argueing over this video....it doesnt even show if there was a force out or if he ran out on his own. I'm not saying the call should have gone either way, but how can any of you KNOW from these angles????

  • @ gasperoutdoors

exactly!... unless you can be 100% sure i would call that out of bounds... if the camera didn't catch it, it shouldn't count.

    thats my honestly unbiased opinion...

  • @jaw1987cchs the camera clearly shows him out of bounds. Thats not in question. What is in question is if he was forced by the defender. THAT is not clearly shown in the video nor is it reviewable, so even if they called it wrong they couldnt overrule it.

  • @gasperoutdoors

i know exactly what is in question... by thing is... if they dont know for sure if he was pushed out of bounds you have to go with what you DID see, and that was that he came from the sidelines, whether he was pushed or not we dont see. but we did see him cross that white line, if i was the senior official i would say since we cant determine 100 percent if he was out, we have to go with what we seen, which would be 100percent out of bounds. td did not count.

  • ok, so you know what is in question. You clearly dont know the situation. The refs are watching the play LIVE. So, we cant even see what they were watching because this particular video doesnt show it.

By rule: the only thing reviewable is whether or not he was in bounds when he caught it (which he was). The call on the field was a force out and thats not reviewable.

  • lol the call fails and you dont know football... you cant go out then back in... which we did see he was out...

  • HAHAHAHAHA I dont know football. thats funny. Look at 0:25 you can see a defender with his hand on the WR as they go out of bounds. If you wanna debate that call (calling it a force out) you can.

You are making yourself sound like a complete moron by saying "HE WENT OUT HE WENT OUT YOU CANT DO THAT" Well you can if you are forced out which was the call on the field (AND IS NOT REVIEWABLE) Stop telling me he went out. I know. I'm not blind. Thats not in question.

  • @jaw1987cchs He was forced moron, get your facts!

  • agreed. It looks like he didn't get forced, but you have to be 100%

  • If you look closely you can see that he is being pushed out

  • it looks more like he gets run out of bounds. Either way, it's not conclusive enough to show he didn't, so it's a touchdown IMO

  • omg i saw it.

  • he was out of bounds he was not pushed out he stepped out byhimself stepped back in so it was not a td that's me i don't know i didn't see all of it

  • @Cgibson63 r u stupid the db had his hands on him pushing him outta bounds so he was forced out

  • @GBRZachMac nah your just a navy hater

  • if hes touched out of bounds its called a force, i know it doesnt look like it but... meh.

  • u can do that? cool!

  • impossible he was inbounce how is that possible! any way

  • the rule is... once u as a reciever step out of bounds voluntary or not, u can not be the first person to touch the ball. that play should not have counted.

  • not in the NCAAF. in the NFL yes.

  • he was jammed out of bounds, and so how was he voluntarily out of bounds when he was forced out of bounds.

  • thats nfl

  • thats on a fumble dipshit

  • thats the NFL rule, FUCKFACE!

  • thats the nfl in college if your forced out you can

  • He was in All Day

  • The corner pushed him out so he can come back in.

  • ur not allowed to run out of bounds as a reciever! but he did not voluntarily run out.... he was pushed out which means he has the right to come back in

  • he was out of bounds then jumped back in and caught it

  • no the rule is if you step out of bounds and you are the first to catch the ball........ your out therefore an incomplete pass!!!! that the rule

  • Yes that is the rule, but if you are FORCED out of bounds you have the right to come back in and be the first to touch the ball.

  • @NintendoGamer2293 you obviously don't know the rules... if hes forced out then it doesn't matter he can come back in

  • That is a great call by the reff!

  • both riley and th edefender looked like they both knew it wasnt a catch 0:29

  • If any player steps out during a play, then he is not allowed to step back in and make a play under any circumstanses

  • That's not true if the player is forced out of bounds--which is what this call was based on. If the player is forced out of bounds, he is required to bring himself back in at the earliest opportunity, but if he does so, he can be the next to touch the ball.

  • @foottitboi17 to bad thats not the rule lol he was forced out good call by the refs

  • @foottitboi17 that is true unless he is forced out of bounds

  • if he doesnt have the ball WHEN he is out of bounds he is allowed to come back in

  • he was forced therefore he can catch it so its a good call

  • Great jam by the cornerback but he came back in and scored

  • horrible call, how an u even miss that?

  • thats what you call bullshit.... he cant go out of bounds and come back in to catch a ball... its plain bull... the officials are seeming to tak over the game of football now

  • if your forced out you can come back and make a play. good call by the ref. he saw that he was out ( threw his hat) but he just knows more than you. and a lot of other people apparently...

  • i doubt that ... i could be a better than most of these other refs that mostly rip off a lot of teams these days. I see where he was forced , i thank you for correcting me but i know i can be better than some refs. For example Georgia Tech, those refs always make sure that they win... no matter if its a giving him the buisness call... any ridiculous call out of the book. ... so yeah

  • duhh he was out of bounds!! it was a touchdown but u asked if he was out of bounds. duhhh!!!!!!!

  • pure touchdown dude was forcing him out

  • ya ur right if u like run out of bounds by urself then u cant come back in but if someone is forcing u out of bounds then u can still make a play

  • Yeah! This is touchdown!

  • and everyone just stopped for a second or two after he made that catch lol...gotta play till you hear the whistle!! learned that in pee-wee league rofl

  • the anouncer even say that

  • he otb beacause he jumped back in

  • I believe the rule is, if you run out of bounds you can come back in during the play, but you can't be the first guy to touch the ball. If you are pushed out, then you can come back in and make any play you want.

  • if your forced out of bounds by the opponent you can come back in and make the play. if you run out yourself you cannot come back in and make a play

  • wat happened to the rule of when u are pushed out of bounds...u cant come back in bounds n make a play??? during the same play
