@spaciousgalaxy I know quite a few people who have Shih Tzus...they're barkers...not yappy and annoying but they are vocal dogs. Don't get me wrong, if you teach them that barking is unacceptable, they will obey. Unfortunately, my 2 crazy babies were not taught that by my parents when they were young so they bark like lunatics now at the drop of a hat. One is gonna be 3 in October and the other one is gonna be 9 in November. But we love them to bits. Shih Tzus RULE!

@spaciousgalaxy Oh and one other thing. They are a fantastic breed. They are super affectionate, loyal, and sooooooo adorable. They learn fast and are good with other animals (including cats) and babies/children. They don't have an agressive bone in their bodies. They love chew toys & they are not destructive (they don't chew and destroy shoes/furniture but they are fans of socks), They are hypoallergenic and they do not shed (they have hair, not fur). If ur thinking of buying one, good choice!

Yeah, it's hard to find a breed that doesn't bark at all. I usually hear that they bark a lot less than other small dogs. They also don't shed. The main part that kinda bothers me is that they are hard to housebreak. I just think they are the most adorable small dogs out there and I kinda feel that it's all worth it.

@spaciousgalaxy depends on upbringing my 1st only barked when he wanted something. my new 1 is brave behind a glass patio door(barks at everything) but wags his tail when he's out walking. we call him the Cowardly Lion since he talks smack when the other animal can't get at him. sweet dispositions on both. but if you baby them too much they get scared of stuff(always picking them up reinforces fear) best to let them be independent

He is 16 months now his darker colors are more cocoa his nose is liver. Eyes are hazel there are other videos of him as a pup. He is a true ham with the camera and a social butterfly with people and other dogs. We are working on an updated video of him.

He is 16 months old now. His colors are chocolate and white with hazel eyes{this is rare for his breed}He is not a deep liver color anymore more coco after a few haircuts. A ham with the camera and the ladies. We will soon post him a current video. There are others to look at of him. We bought him online came from Mississippi we met him at the airport.

yeah, you should definately put more videos of him up. he sure is a stud ;) even though i don't approve of getting pets online and having then shipped to other states since many of them come from cruel puppy mills and kennels; i'm glad that it worked out for you and that he's a healthy and happy boy!
